I have a new hero, and his name is Homer!

Here is why Mom is calling the quilts "Stashbusters." See these bins? They are filled with blocks Mom uses to make the Gizzy quilts. As you can see, there are bins filled with fabrics of every color in the rainbow. Mom can make lots of beautiful Gizzy quilts with the blocks in these bins.
We put pictures of two over in the sidebar on the right. "Primary Colors" has a backing with black and white and green, pink, yellow and red. It's very pretty. The "Purple Passion" has a backing that looks like purple marble. Mom says another difference in the Stashbuster Gizzy Quilts is that the backings might not be all one fabric - they might be pieced from different fabrics. But she says the backs will co-ordinate with the fronts.
Mom's got plans for a gold/orange/brown one and then probably a green one. She is guessing about which colors cats might want. So if you have an idea, you should let me know.
thanks!

We really liked the Rusty quilt you had a couple of days ago, but Mom says she is short on green papers right now because of the move. Maybe we will get one a little later.
You should see how good Madness's Africa quilt looks in our new house, on our new couch! There is a picture on our blog (a few days ago).
"Eres mucho gato, Homer."
wow that's a good story.
Homer the Hero Cat. What natural instinct to protect his mum.
Wow! Homer really is a hero! You kitties are great burglar alarms. Thankfully I haven't had to use those services, but if I see my cats go on alert or growl at something and it's not one of the other cats in the house, then I go on alert.
Thank you so much for linking to this story! I'd love to get you a copy of the book when it comes out...
