Helping Mom

Mom has been designing the Holiday Gizzys. She arranges the pieces then photographs the design so when she sews the pieces together they are the way she wants. Then she puts all the pieces in a bag. I have been helping.

See? That's my work.

You can see some more Holiday Gizzy designs at the Bizzy for Gizzy blog.

I am very happy the BfG 4th of July Quilt Auction Benefit is going so well. Fiona Bun is kinda blown away.

Mom says she is pretty sure she has enough Red White and Blue fabric to make another quilt, so if you don't submit a winning bid, and want a Red White and Blue quilt, email me at DarlingMillie AT Gmail DOT com.

Mommy snorted iced tea out of her nose (it isn't very pretty) when she saw the last picture because that's what the furballs did to her stained glass pieces. Happy piecing!

That is your job as a kitty. You're supposed to keep your mom on her toes.

I have discovered a brilliant new, young artist, 'Darling' Millie I'macat!
Her most recent work, entitled "See? That's my work," is a daring new piece of textile art. Using blocks of emerald, gold, and ruby toned fabric she has created a deconstruction of a quilt top that challenges and inspires this viewer to imagine juxtaposition of color and pattern that please not only the eye but that will lead, ultimately, to a really great nap.

I look forward to more work by this exciting new talent and encourage you to seek out her work.

Respectfully submitted,
