I know I'm the littlest cat here, and I know I'm not the boss cat, but that doesn't mean I can't make a play for my own turf.
The tops of all the cushy chairs -- those are my spots. They are my spots because nobody else even tries to get up there.
The Lady managed to grab a picture of me as I climbed up the back of her chair. That's the top of her head. Heh.

Millie, I don't finks the top of your lady's head is a vury good spot. Although that would be a comfy and safe spot to have. -Taps
o, looks like u gotted catched creepin up on ur mommie.
i do that to my mommie while she works on tha com-pooter. sometimes she reely jumps, too. hee-hee.
oh we loves the tops of the chairs too. Norton used to sit up there and punch mommy in the head all the time.
Hi Millie! I just found your blog, it's nice to meet you!
I like tops of chairs, too, and couches. They make good spots to keep an eye on my Mom and they're extra cushy too.
Very cool Millie. Even little cats need their own turf.
Same here Millie. The big cats don't go up on the chair back or couch back and they are all mine. Especially the back of mom's chair! -Scout
you look so cute! all intent, like a kitty commando creeping up on the target . . .
all of us crawl up there now & then, but edmund does it most often. he likes to lie there and munch mom's hair. he doesn't bother with dad--he doesn't haf enuf to nuzzle!

Millie, if your Lady took the picture and the picture shows the top of her head, did she hold up the camera in front of her and upwards a bit, hold her tongue just right and click? If so, she did a great job.
Scritches to you,
Karen
P.S. I posted this by mistake in the October 10 entry...sawwy.
Karen,
Here is how the Lady took the picture. First she practiced by taking some pictures when I was NOT back there. She wanted to figure out how high to hold the camera and where to point it. Her camera is an older one and there is a big "lag time" between the time she pushes the button and the time the camera takes the picture. As soon as she heard be running to the back of the chair, she stuck the camera up in the air and pushed the button.
She got lucky. What can I say?
You know, if you lay across the back of the chair, you can pop a person on the head with your tail, and you can usually get away with it...
Yeah, except that would mean I'd have to touch her.
millie you are so silly. your tail doesn't count as touching her if you are on the back of the chair. it only counts if she touches you first.
