Clean and Dirty

It was a really boring weekend. Mom didn't do much of anything interesting.

She dug around in all that stupid dirt, took yukky green leafy rabbit food from smaller pots of dirt and put them into bigger pots of dirt. She claims she made another pot of cat grass and another big pot of catnip, but they both look like dirt to me, so I'm not impressed.

She moved some stuff in and some stuff out of the picture box room and dragged the rug sucking monster around in there. She did the same thing in the studio.

She brought some more stuff down to the Pit of Despair. That place must be pretty big.

She went food hunting and brought back all kinds of boring yukky junk.

She even took some pieces of wood and made her bed higher so she could put this great big box on wheels underneath. Then she filled that with stuff.

She did some kind of dance with the washing and drying monsters because she kept saying she was doing the "washing machine shuffle." To give her credit I have to say she also folded all those clothes and put them all away. For the first time in weeks there isn't a laundry basket of clothes sitting around somewhere.

She made something called granola and a big pot of red stuff she calls tomato soup. Neither had any beef in it so my question is, why bother? And there aren't any dirty pots and pans or dishes all over the kitchen counter this morning. She thinks that's a very big deal. Of course, the table in the table room is still covered with books and papers and small boxes and stuff. And the rug sucker is still standing out in the open.

She talked to her brother in Catorado because their Mom is flying out there today for a two week motorcycle trip with this brother (she says we can call him Mr CabinetMaker) through some of the National Parks in Utah (like Bryce, Zion and Moab). Her Mom is 73, so imagine her in full biking gear on the back of a motorcycle.

She did do a couple of things she was really supposed to do. She worked out a kitty quilt in black and white and green for somecat, and she added fleece middles and backing to a few others and quilted them.

So all in all it was a pretty dull weekend around here.

Thank you ladies for the kinds words you posted on my bloggie - they helped make my mom feel better. The special vet place we went to is actually right near the Manchester airport - it's called Center for Advanced Vet Care and it seems like a really good place.

We were all very sorry to hear of Gizzy's passing.

for some reason, humans like sunday cleaning and arranging. the one day of the week for naps and they go nuts with all this household activity!

my mama loves to have a clean kitchen and all the laundry put away before bed on sunday night. she says it's a good and comforting way to start the week.

Dull weekends are okay, Millie. My mom says she'd love to visit those places in Utah.
