It's been a busy week for Mom. On Tuesday she attended PlusOne's concert. Last night she visited with a friend from Chicago, and tonight she's going to the Art Museum.
Fortunately, Mom has come home each night and prepared my dinner before going out again.

Yes, I agree with Pat: I'm sure your mom would have organised her whole social schedule around being at home to serve your dinner first.
