After Mom and I moved out of our old house, Mom happened to drive by the old place and saw the lord of land had put the house up for sale!!! Mom was furry surprised. She talked to the old neighbor (idjit) upstairs and he said the lord of land did not expect the house would sell before springtime. Mom knew that no matter when it sold, they would have to implement the M-word themselves.
So you can imagine Mom's surprise when she drove by this morning and saw a "Sale Pending" on the old place.
I have to say, I am VERY HAPPY we have our own house now. I love it, and Mom and I like this place a lot more than the old place. Naturally Mom will be curious to see what happens to the place.
Me, not so much.

Mommy went by her old place last summer. Blechhh! I heard it was not a place for humans or kitties!
We are happy here, and glad you love your own new home!
Good thing you moved, too, otherwise you and Mom would be having to move out quickly now.
That's very interesting Millie. It was good that the lord of the land waited until you and your mom moved out and only then put the house up for sale.
I am so pleased to hear that you and your mom love your new home.

Hey, you got to move on your own terms and in your own time to where you wanted to go. That is the best way.
Mum found her old house sold a month or so ago. Not that she really cares now, other than to know they didn't make many green papers on it.
Good you got out when it was easiest!
Millie, we could tell that you really liked your new home as soon as you moved in. With all the extra space, lots of windows to enjoy the views & that beautiful woodlands around your territory, what not to like? Cats live in the present which is why you have no interest in seeing what happens to your old place, but mom is a human & they live in the past, present & future. The old place was your mom's home for many years & so, she is curious about who might live there next & how quickly it sells. We are glad you & your mom moved into your new home when you did because it saved your mom a lot of headaches had she been surprised with a 30 day notice to vacate the apt.. Your mom's decision about when to move worked out perfectly & now that you & mom own the new house, no one can tell you to leave because your mom is the Lady of the Land now. Being a cat, you live in the present Millie. Human's live in the past, present & future which is why your mom is curious about what happens with the old place. You are free to just keep on loving your new place more every day. We hope you & mom spend many happy years together in your new home. We hope you have a wonderful 1st Chrissy-mouse in your new home too.
No , MIllie -I don't think it would worry you much about what happens, but you seem to very happy where you are, and that's all that is important.
