Tuxie Tuesday

Mom is home for staycation. She's got to do more "sorting" and de-cluttering.

Check this out. This is the bookcase that Mom uses for her cookbooks. She's had it twenty-four years.
This picture was taken ten years ago, but you get the idea.
This picture is from six years ago. You can see the cookbook bookcase is full of cookbooks. This bookcase won't fit anywhere at the new place, so Mom has had to adjust.

It took Mom all day to sort through the cookbooks and the three boxes of printed recipes she's been collecting over the years.
Believe it or not, Mom got rid of a lot of cookbooks. The old bookcase has been de-constructed. There was lots of scary squeeeeeeeeek-ing as screws were removed and banging as the thing got taken apart. I stayed firmly under the bed while it was happening.

Now it's all gone.

It continues to be verrrr-y interesting here in New Hampster.

Lots of interesting things happening Millie. I love that pic of you from six years ago. It could have been taken yesterday - you carry your age really well.

We suspect the deconstructing will continue for a while Millie!

Good on your mom for decreasing the quantity of "stuff " - thus leaving more time later for scritches!

Go Mom go!

Just when you think it's all done Millie you'll find everything wants putting in place in your new home so just get under the bed when that happens with some treats and have a very long nap.

mum cleared some of hers out a few years ago. Said she hadn't used them in a while and they were all for fancy cooking. Mum does not do fancy cooking.

Wow, that was a lot of cookbooks Millie. No wonder your mom is such a good cook. Our mom bean only has one small shelf...she's good at opening Fancy Feast cans for us, and making sandwiches for herself, MOL

Good luck with all the deconstructing!

I know how hard it is to let go of cookbooks and beloved pieces.
