Mom and I we be "closing" on a house of our own today. The M-word will be implemented and we will be in the new place before Halloween.
Mom has hired "M-word" guys to come over and put our stuff in a big truck and then bring it over to the new place. Yesterday one of them came over to count all our stuff so he could tell Mom how many green papers it will cost. Next week he will bring boxes and Mom will start to fill them up.
In the meantime I'm getting back to bird-tv.

Our Mommy doesn't envy your move at all. She says she is sending purrs for it all to go smoothly.
XOXO
Congratulations to your human & to you Millie on closing on your fabulous new home. Closing is a big step closer to going to live in the new house. Getting the packing boxes is another step closer to "M" Day. Packing could get a little scary at times, so make sure you don't get find yourself sealed up in one of those boxes or we might not see you for a while. Hope you & your human enjoy your annual tennis binge while she is on staycation.
I am sure when the guys come over they won't put YOU in a big truck.....no doubt you will be travelling in style in Mom's car. It all sounds exciting!

Yaaaay Millie - edging closer to that screened porch and a whole house of your own to run around in. Does that also mean a garden of your own and more space for your mom to plant green stuff? Can you imagine a paddock of catnip plants?
Back to bird TV. It's probably too soon to say it, but at some stage you'll probably have to explain to those birds that they're going to see the back of you. Perhaps another pusscat will move in and hiss at them?

So much to snoopervise in the coming few weeks . . . you're going to be a very busy kitty!
We hope everything goes smoothly for your Mom and you Millie during the packing up and actual move. Just think you'll be able to choose where your food bowl will go.

Oh Millie, you are in for a treat (new birds on tv, new smells, hiding places...). I am getting so excited for you (and Mom), I just can't stand it!!

I'm sure you'll get tons of advice :-) Here's mine. When we've moved our kitties, they went straight from the carriers and into the master bedroom in the new place where we already had a litter box, water, etc. Then we made them stay in there for a few hours until everything settled down and got quiet. Then we opened the door and let them explore at their own pace. For our three, they identified the master bedroom as their safety zone and adapted very quickly. But I imagine each precious kitty will respond differently.
Bird tv is the best way to pass the time, well that and napping.
WE hope you get good Bird TV at the new place!
Concats on the house close. We dread mum ever moving. She says no time soon.
