Mother Nature is Fickle
The weather guys said we were supposed to have "snow showers" and then rain yesterday. When Mom got up it was a little cloudy, but it was warm. The was a quilt show in town, so she went.
Mom liked this quilt because it was "flat." I do not understand why a quilt that hangs flat is a big deal. All of her quilts hang nice and flat.
After Mom got home, the sky got dark, and we got the "snow showers" we were expected to get:
A few minutes after this started, the sun came out! It was snowing and sunny at the same time, but it didn't last long.
A half an hour later the sun was out, the sky was blue and the clouds were gone.

Mother Nature is just trying to keep us all guessing and add some extra excitement to the When When contest.
That was a nice quilt in your mom's pic, and yes, a large quilt that hangs as flatly as that one is very well made indeed.
