The Flume

Mom and Mim-may brought PlusOne and Pretty Girl to the Flume yesterday.

What's the Flume?
It's a gorge hidden in the White Mountains in northern New Hampster.

Mom says it is really cool, but I think it looks too wet to be much fun.

After they all had lunch, they went up to the top of Cannon Mountain.
by riding in a tramway car suspended from wires. You can see a red one in the picture above.  While they were waiting to go up, they saw a Black bear and her two cubs.

Mom couldn't get a picture of all three of them, because they kept going under the bushes, but on the way to the top, Mom got a good picture of the Momma Bear.

At the top of the mountain, instead of the great views they expected,
they were in the clouds, and the clouds covered everything.

Oops.

On the other hand, PlusOne kept everybody entertained.

Mom had a great day, and actually, so did I, napping in my favorite spots,
and indulging in some of my fresh 'Nip.

That gorge looks too wet to appeal to a pusscat, Millie, but I think you might have enjoyed being up high in the tramway car, don't you? Still, a quiet nap and some fresh nip was a pretty good consolation prize.

I'm not sure how they could go away to leave you all day, Millie! It must have been very quiet, though.

I wish our friends had told us about the Flume. I would have taken the time to go see it. We went to Mt Washington and did not make it to the top because of the clouds! I would have enjoyed the Flume more! Maybe someday we will get back up there!
