Maybe your mom can fit your cat tree in the cage - that way you might get in it.
Mum says the only way to grab me is to wait til I am snoozy and then grab and shove. She tries to organise morning appts and gives me very little food the night before and in the morning, that way I am hanging around.

That thing has two doors open on it. I would go in and wait for her to start closing one door and just go out the other door.
