1. I like my scritches. Right behind the ears.
2. I know how to ask Mom for them.
3. I ask, very politely, for my treats every night at treat time. Now that I've got Mom fully trained, I only have to meow the tiniest of meows and she jumps right up and gets the treat tin.
4. There aren't any dirty dishes in the kitchen, and the laundry is all folded.
5. She's read two books this week alone. (I mean started and finished them both). She started another one last night, and she'll probably be finished with that by the end of the week.
6. Mom bought like eleventy books for herself at Christymas. Really. One, two, three, five, six, eight, ten, eleventy.
7. When Mom sits down to read a book on her Kindle, I get close by and get my scritches and pets. Why would I need a Kindle of my own?
8. Mom really isn't lazy. I just like to tease her. Seriously though, I think she needs to be lazier. Like me, for example.
9. The night before last I chased a cricket all around the house. It was great fun. I even brought it to show Mom. She was very proud of me.
10. OK, that last bit wasn't very lazy of me, but hey, I'm a cat, that's my job.

It was ALL good, but we really liked the part about the cricket. Moms LOVE getting crickets as gifts.
A cricket in winter? Wow, mebbe it was a lucky cricket. Well, he was unlucky, but mebbe lucky fur you and your MOM! MOL!
Millie - I was one of the people who thought you might appreciate having a Kindle of your own. After all, you might not like the same kinds of books that your mom likes. But, if it's genuinely not an issue for you, I'll stop hassling your mom to get you one. I'll ramp up the hassling for her to bring home crickets and lizards instead!

What a great list of truths.
Wow, you are so lucky to get that cricket at this time of year! We had a lousy cricket season this summer and I am still bummed out about it. I am also a little bit bummed out that you seem to have your human better trained than I do mine.
You're not lazy - you're a cat!
We are all different, Millie.

Sparkle, it has taken over five years to get my Mom trained, and she's still pretty lousy at a lot of things, but she's making good progress.
Prancer, crickets live outside in the summer, and only come inside to get warm when it gets cold outside. I wait for them. Heh!
Megan, No lizards. They don't live around here anyhow.
Wow! How lucky that you got to chase a cricket!
What you need is an ipad Millie. Then you can go on the web and order eleventy kinds of kitty treats. Fair is fair you know!
Our mom has been getting lots of books on her kindle over Christmas too. 'Tis the season to be "lazy.
Sounds like you are having a good time together. Our Mom says that she reads faster on her nook than she does a book!
I am very impressed with your counting skills Millie, must be a side effect of all that reading your Mom does.
Millie, I've just discovered how good skritches feel. It's only taken me 12 years, but I love them now. Mom just wishes I would come out from under the table to get them.
Purrs,
Cody
