Wishful Wednesday

Look, we blogging cats are a fairly frivolous bunch, and we're damned lucky. It's easy to brag about how we run our houses, and call our People our servants and stuff...

But today my thoughts are with those 33 miners in Chile who are hoping their rescue goes smoothly and safely, so you'll forgive me if I'm less "flip" today.

Today, I'm sending purrs to Chile, and I'm gonna keep sending them until all the miners are free. Hope you can join me.

Although my human isn't glued to the internet like some of her friends are to the TV (we don't have ours hooked up), she is keeping close track on what is going on down there, and she is so amazed and happy that they are all getting out! Paws crossed that all goes as planned!

Mommy & Daddy cheered last night when the first miner made it "back" to Earth. We're all purraying they make it up safely.

We are purring for them, too. It takes about an hour per round trip to get one man out. They freed 13 in eleven hours. Many hours to go!

What a miracle - unfolding on our television screens! I will keep purring until every one of those brave miners is in the arms of his family. Cheers and purrs for Chili!!

We are purring for them too Millie! Mom and us stayed up and watched the first few who were brought out and it made her leaky for being so happy. And she keeps checking today to make sure more are making it out!

Oh Millie! The Human has been riveted to the teevee for like 24 hours--she even streamed it at her work! We were both soooooooooo happies tonight when the last miner got rescued! Hooray! Now she thinks they have brought up a couple of the rescue medics who so bravely went down there to help. The best news story ever!
