Thursday Thing

Mom has a new "thing."

Dunno what it's all about, but she's spent the last few nights parked in front of the tippy tappy lapbox tippy tapping for hours. No sewing, tippy tapping!

Tippy tappy, tippy tappy, tippy tappy... Then she runs to the other room and the other computer where she makes papers spit out of the printer. She looks at papers, draws squiggles on them, brings them BACK to the tippy tappy lapbox, does some more tippy tapping, then she throws the paper away!

Then she does it all over again!

Sometimes, before she draws the squiggles, she admires her handiwork while she eats.

There are papers ALL OVER THE PLACE! She has them piled on the desk, on the big table in the table room, on the coffee table, laying on the floor near the recliner, stacked up on the nightstand... you get the picture. Sometimes I see her rummaging through the various stacks. Then she'll find a piece of paper, and go back to tippy tapping.

Now, I've looked at those papers. There isn't anything special about them at all. Each one is just like the other. But hoo boy! Does she get her knickers in a twist if I mess up her stacks!

She says she's "busy" and working on a special project.

Frankly, I think she's lost her mind. I think she's obsessed. Last night I had to meow for a whole minute to get her to get up and give me my treats at treat-time.

I know I'm glad I'm a cat, but I think this is one of those times stronger action is called for.

Do you want us to come and help you remind her it's treat time. Mums are very strange sometimes - they do the silliest things.

Millie, you got to yell real LOUD and try to jump in her lap when you want a treat. Don't let anything she does stop you! That's what I do... assert yourself. Don't let her get away with missing your treat time. No matter what she's doing.

Millie, I agree with you. Stronger action is necessary. If you need any tips on this, just have a peep at my blog to see what I did to my human yesterday because she wouldn't give me food. Just you gimme a miaow if you need any help in getting her back in line. Laptop box tapping is nowhere near as important as your treats!

Try walking on the laptop! That gets their attention.

Hi Millie! Wow, it sounds like your mom is totally obsessed with those papers and the tippy tapping - we wonder what she is doing with it. It is very interesting to us - especially since we love to watch the paper spit out of the printer.

Millie - please be careful! There's an old saying about being nice to the hand which feeds you.......

(I, like you, can't help but wonder what all that tippy tapping is producing - it could be ????? . Time will tell,no doubt. )

Maybe your human is writing a book! At least, if my human was doing all that, that is what would be happening here.

Millie: You look like my MOMMY!! You two could be twins--except we live in Texas. Anyway, on that whole human tippy tappy stuff--a WHOLE MINUTE ain't gonna cut it. You know they can get so INTO their stuff--which of course NEVER makes sense. Unless of course it includes treas for US!

Sit on her to get your treats or start to mess up her piles of papers.
