Mom got up this morning, and went through her usual day hunting routine, then went to her day hunting gig.
She says she had to go hunt the ever elusive Month End. I believe that the way I believe in the Loch Ness Monster. Which is to say I don't believe it at all. Mom goes hunting for that damned Month End at least one Saturday a month, and she never catches it.Either that or she really sucks at it.
Good thing I'm better at what I do every day.

My Mom use to hunt for the Month end, too and is does suck. Even if you catch it, it gets away, again! She is glad she can stay home with us, mow!
You are really mean to your Mom sometimes Millie! Had you considered the possibility that your Mom is sooooo good at hunting Month End that she is widely acknowledged to be a Month End Champion and is much sought after? That they don't know how they'd do without her at her day hunting gig? Given all the other skills that you know your Mom has - such as making quilts, cooking, growing herbs and looking after you - I think this explanation is much more likely.
As for you, yes you too are a champion at what you do, which is why you and your Mom get along so well.
I hope, however, that you take a break from all that bathing to give your Mom a big cuddle when she gets home tonight.

Millie, you make me smile.
We think that Month End is tricky cause there are differnt numbers of days in months. Mebbe if they were all 30 days, she would get better at it!
We know what you mean Millie, our Dad Bean never seems to catch that Month End either.
