These letters are sewn together from fabric, free-form, without patterns. This is sorta practice. Mom doesn't like the Z's (too fat top and bottom) the Y's (too skinny). She thinks the B needs some work. She really likes the G, O and S.
I told you Mom's been lurking in the Quilting blogs. She really likes Tonya's Lazy Gal Quilting. (Tonya has cats too!) Anyway, Mom found Tonya's tutorial about free-piecing letters and decided to experiment.
She definitely has a plan for these letters, when she gets them right. You'll get to see. Mom says not to hold your breath.

I have to say, I'm liking the O and the Q - stay warm!
Mom is impressed, she don't have da pashents fur quilting...but she does sew and when she hasta cut out a pattern she whines.
I'll bet it will be fun, whatever it is!
Those look very cool! :) The 'y's do look a little skinny, compared to the other letters, but they still look fabulous!
Millie I have something for you on my blog :)

I can't wait to see what your mommy is up to now.
Your Mommy is so very creative, we cannot wait to see what she will do next!
Millie, we can't wait to see what your artsy mom does with this!
A favor: Could you come help me with a birthday blitz I'm having for my beansister?

The letters are real innerestin. We could figure them all out, so we think they are all good.
Your mum is so clever Millie. My mum wishes she could do that sort of thing.
I just put up some pictures of my Christmas holiday travels, come and see!
I hope you are not covered in snow.
Millie, we gave you something too!

the letters are fabulous. I really like the contrast of the skinny letters with the fatter ones (and those will get much skinnier when they lose their seam allowance). love the colors too!
