Gizzy update

Here's skinny Gizzy. He doesn't look so manly in this picture, but that's because Mom was sticking the camera in his face and he doesn't like the flash. He's eating, and drinking, but not much. Mom's gonna call the vet and make sure he gets an appointment. Problem is, Mom hasn't got any of the green pieces of paper. So she's gonna try to make a deal.

Mom wondered if she could raffle a quilt as a fundraiser. She wrote to Skeezix cause he's one of the smartest cats in the blogosphere. He said it might be hard if she didn't have a quilt already made. (And she doesn't -- yet.) But he gave Mom an idea.

She is going to make some cat-sized quilts, out of pre-washed cotton, and fill them with nice warm fleece. They'll be about two feet square (of course that's not two of my feet or they'd be too small for anything), crazy patchwork on one side, and quilted a bit to hold the layers all together. Mom says they will be machine washable and dryable. She's gonna sell them and anycat in the blogosphere (or beans even) can buy them. We haven't worked out a price yet, but $25 sounds about right. And she would have to set up a paypal account or something. This way she could get the green pieces of paper to pay the vet costs and not stress out about it too much.

Here's a funky black and white one. She's working on a couple of pink ones, and has some others planned with all the colors in the rainbow.Cat bloggers, would you be interested?

Please tell your Momlady I'd reallllllly like one. Any color that would show off my ginger and white would be good. I'll have my Momlady keep checking to see when you have all the details worked out.

Oh, I'm not a blogspot blogger, but I'd order one, too - I read about Millie every day and my three cats (one black and white!) would love extra snuggle blankies.

My mommy doesnt need a kitty sized quilt since she does that too, but she would love to help Gizzy. The Cat who Came Before Us, named Pretty, lost a lot of weight too. When the mommy took her to the vet they found out she had a thyroid problem and she just needed some medicine. she lived another 7 years after that. Please get gizzy checked, it could be something very simple and easy to fix.

I'm in! I read this blog every day, so please let us all know when you've got it figured out.

Gizzy has done such a good job of teaching Millie about life. I want to help him, just as I helped with Millie when she was Malcolm's baby.

The Feline Americans and I would like a quilt. Since there's a squillion different colors of cats making up the Feline Americans, any color of quilt would be fine.

Millie: When your mama gets the logistics worked out, please visit our bloggie and leave us a comment about where to send the money for the quilt and the shipping to California. Your mama does a marvelous job with her stitching machine.

Gizzy ... Furry good luck, buddy. We're purrayin' for your return to good health.

Oh, and we're havin' a 300th post contest on our bloggie! Stop by and leave your guess.
