late night, busy day

The Lady finished the flowered jacket last night. I mean this morning. She went to bed really late. I mean, ah... never mind. I bet you get it.

Of course WE didn't care how little sleep she had had when our breakfast time rolled around. We were all playing on the bed trying to wake her up. I knocked that metal bracelet she wears off the nightstand. When I jumped down to play with it, I couldn't find it. Anyway, that finally woke her up and she stumbled into the kitchen to feed us all. Then she went back to bed. Later I watched her as she crawled around to look for it. Turns out I was pretty good. The thing had landed inside her slipper.

Mr Karate came over and they made some great smelling food. I think roast beast was involved, but I am not really comfortable with people other than the Lady so I stayed hidden under the couch. I heard Mr Karate talk about a picnic and a girlfriend. I don't know what either of those things are, so you will (again) have to use your imagination.

After he left, the Lady cleaned all the dishes and then took a cloth and rubbed it all over everything, the tables, the shelves, the picture boxes, the bureaus, the desk. I watched her very closely. People sure are weird. Gizzy told me to watch out -- that she'd be bringing in the rug-sucking monster next.

That didn't happen, but there's always tomorrow.

Yeah, our lady was doing that cloth swishing thing today too. But along with that she took off the screens from the windows because the weather is cold now and WOW can we see out now!

I hope you managed to get some of that roast beast. Sounds like it would've been yummy!

And do watch out for the rug-sucking monster. We have one of those too and it's really scary.

There is no excuse for humans to sleep past our breakfast time. Good to keep them on their toes. It keeps them young, they love you for it.
