chilly chili pesto pesto
The weather here today was sunny and cold and windy. Us cats each found nice warm spots and napped. The Lady was busy in the kitchen. She was taking stuff out of the cupboards and then putting it back in again. How crazy is that? She took all the stuff off the counters and then put it all back on. O-kay. I don't get it, but now there's lots of empty space so I have plenty of places to land when I jump up there.
She made some food stuff, I think she called it hoomus and then she made some red stuff she called pesto. I dunno, this summer she made pesto and it was green. So which is it?
Once she got finished rearranging all her stuff, she says, It's so chilly out, I think I'm going to make some chili. It will be nice and hot and it will be good on a cold day like this.
Excuse me? I'm confused again. Pesto can be both red and green, apparently; and Chili/chilly can also be both hot and cold?
I'm so glad I'm a cat.

None of that make sense to me either, Millie !
Oh the 3 of you look so cozy. We understand chilly, cause we don't like to feel cold, but we don't no anything about chili.
Yeah, it's nice bein a cat specially a house cat! Us former ferals know all bout that! We's lucky to have our beans huntin for us!
Our beans do the strangest things don't they!?
Ooh, nice to see your lady fixed the camera!
Aren't beans confusing sometimes?
Grr, Midnight & Cocoa, The Lady is an artist. She can draw and paint. She used to teach drawing and oil painting. She makes quilts. She's made over 30 quilted chessboards. She loves to cook and the smells are always good around here. She likes to bake her own bread, and Gizzy says she doesn't use a machine. Mr Karate says her brownies are the best in the whole wide world. She also makes terrific biscotti. (All from "scratch" although that term makes me wonder.) She grew seven different kinds of basil this summer and has a freezer full of green pesto. She paints old furniture. She loves to read. She's happiest when she's making something.
Brandi,
The camera is still busted. She's borrowing her sister's.
