Foggy Friday

It has been unusually warm here the last few days. There is heavy fog here this morning, and Mom will have to be extra careful on the drive to her day-hunting gig.

Mom says there is a very famous poem about fog and cats, by Carl Sandburg:

The fog comes
on little cat feet.

It sits looking
over harbor and city
on silent haunches
and then moves on.

I am like the fog.

Yes you are Millie! We get a lot of fog here in Central California this time of year. It's called "tule" fog and it's so thick and dangerous in which to drive. It's good your Mom is careful Millie.

You're like the fog? Really? You've certainly got the little cat feet, but otherwise I can't see it, Millie - you're much more gorgeous to look at, for starters!

Lots of fog here in Oklahoma too, as of late.
We just love that poem and think of it every morning we see the fog!

You can see the house across the street, so it isn't that bad.
