If I want to get in Mom's lap and she's NOT sitting down, I meow. Eventually (she is a human, after all, it takes a while) she figures it out and sits down so I can get in her lap.
It seems to be taking quite a long time to train your mom in various requirements, doesn't it? It's just as well that you're a particularly patient pusscat is all I can say.
Can you please send a message to my cats and tell them how nice it is to sit on the Mom's lap? They sit there if I am knitting and then it is more about the wool than about my lap Lots of hugs to you and your Mom
LOL, We are happy that you discovered the happiness that only a warm lap can provide. Now it is just up to your Mom to provide a lap every time you need it. Happy Lap -Time!
We know it has been a long trip from that scared little kitten with a hurt leg to being a lap cat, but you made it. We hope Angel makes that transition someday!

Ya know that's gotta make her 62 kinds of happy! I bet you can use this to get a few extra crunchy treats ;)
Like Megan said, you just took your time training your human, difficult cases require patience.
