Millie Monday

Mom walks into the kitchen and sees me sitting here, meowing at the cabinets. Today she opened them so I could look inside. I think something is in there, but Mom can't see. She bought some stuff to try to get critters to go away, but I still meow at the cupboards.

Mom knows I did this last year, but she thought it was because I could smell the woofie who lived in this house before we did.

We shall see.

    Hmmm - that sounds odd, Millie. I think your mom needs remedial classes in Pusscat if she can't figure out what you're trying to tell her. Perhaps you could draw her a picture instead?

    Oh, I bet there are mousies! I spent a bunch of time staking out my human's bathroom and it turns out there were rats living in the walls there!

    Derby used to stare at the walls where he heard mousies. So we bet you got mousies.

    You are an excellent feline detective Millie. We also believe you can hear & smell mousies inside the wall under your cabinet. Mousies love to make nests inside the walls of houses before the cold weather arrives. Be patient standing guard & you may be able to bring your mom a deaded mousie as a gift & prove it was not a woofie you were smelling. A formerly feral cat such as yourself is likely to be the bestest of mouse catchers. Just a word of advice - you may want to can the meowing or you could scare off any critter hiding out in there.
