Tuxie Tuesday

As superior beings to humans, we Cats are always trying to teach our beleaguered caretakers.  Alas, this is a difficult job.  One [cat] would think that with a language consisting of millions of words, humans could at the very least understand one: "Meow."  But it is not to be.

However there are times when we see clear evidence of our influence, and it can be quite a surprise.

You don't believe me?  I show the following photograph of clothes Mom bought the other day.  I have told her for years that I am always perfectly attired and do not need any extras to add to my already perfect wardrobe of tuxie furs.

It looks like my lessons are finally beginning to sink in!

Glory be.

  1. Glory hallelujah Millie. That's a wonderful accomplishment on your part. Well done indeed.

That said, I think you have been a bit unfair about your mom's language skills. You see, I've always understood 'Cat' to be a tone language, like, say, Chinese - where words might sound the same but mean different things when pronounced with different intonations. Cats don't have a large range of words, but 'Meow' can be said with dozens of different tones, can't it - each meaning something different? Human ears are not as finely tuned as cat ears, so it is a real challenge for us to interpret each meow differently. Give your mom a bit of a break will you! LOL

  2. Haha - you girls will be able to enter a look alike competition. Nothing wrong with a bit of black and white.
