Ding Dong, The Tree is Gone!

Mom usually takes the Christymas tree down on New Year's Day and this year was no exception. She took all the ornaments, lights, and garlands off the tree, and then dragged it outside. It left a big trail of pine needles through the house, and the rug sucking monster was called in to pick them all up.
Naturally, I hid under the bed while all this was going on.

When it was all over, I came out, and got back to my comfy spot on the recliner. Mom opened up her tippy tappy lapbox and made tippy tapping sounds the whole rest of the day.  The house is back to "normal" and like several of you commented over the last couple of days, if we keep having snow this winter, we will have a great When When Contest in March!

  2. Our tree always vanishes on the 26th. Why they have to chase it out with the sucking rug monster is beyond us. It is a lot more fun when we can lay around underneath the tree than when we have to hide from that commotion!

  3. Monika took our tree down yesterday too, while Bob was working. Then she got him to put stuff back in the garrage when he finished his work.

  4. Nice to have the house back to normal, mum hasn't put the Christmouse tree and other stuff away yet. She didn't get out much this year, so not much to put away!

  6. I was hoping that your mom might leave the unadorned tree up for you to climb and play on for a little while Millie. Perhaps it's not too late for her to outside and drag it back in - ask her nicely!

  7. Our mom took the tree down here too but there was only a few paper needles. Mom says that is one benefit of an artyfishal tree, MOL

Stay warm and out of the snow, Millie.
