Oops!

This is what a dead Kindle looks like. The screen saver is streaky and stuck. Mom's kinda blue. All the books she wants to read, and all the games she was playing, are stuck inside.

Mom called the Amazons and they are going to send her a new one.  It should arrive next week.Mom says it could be worse.  At least she finished the book she was reading before it died.

*** I am in mufti as Mom and I are out of town. I have been on a boat called a fairy and I have driven past vineyards. Today Mom will say a prayer at a rufruf for her friend who is getting married.

The Amazons told Mom she wouldn't lose any of the books she had on her Kindle. Which is cool.

  1. That is really bad news! WE know Mom would be blue, too, if her Nook died.

  3. My human does not have a lot of books on her Kindle yet, so it would not be freak out time for her. But she would definitely not like that!

  5. Our mom's Kindle did that about 2 weeks after she got it. The man said it was from turning pages too fast. MOL.

Amazon's customer service is fantastic and she had a new one in less than 2 full days!!

our mom says it's a tragedy when the Kindle dies.

  7. If she can't read, that means more time for cuddles with Millie.

  9. Ours died too-but it was animal abuse that killed it. Somecat CHOMPED it and made the picture all funny, just like Ms. Millie's Mom's kindle.

My new one arrived on Thursday, and yes, all the books transferred jut fine. I also got a cover, with a strap. I really don't want this one chomped.

Millie, we all love the roses on your stockings--Especially Smokey!

  11. Amazon has the best customer service, especially if you use the Kindle specific CS. And yep, she keeps all her books, Amazon store them. She just has to go to her manage your kindle page when she gets the new one and she can send them all to her new Kindle.

We love Amazon cause we make money with 'em every month ;)
