Thursday Thoughts

You know your Mom's in trouble when it's 7:45 in the morning, and she's chasing you around with the little camera so she can get a picture to put on your blog. This is how it is at my house, when my Mom has just finished a big project. The project is finished, but the house is a huge mess. There is a pile of clean laundry on the sofa waiting to be folded. The bed has not been made in several days. There are dirty dishes everywhere in the kitchen, the dining room table is covered in stuff, and the sewing studio... omigoodness, it's like a fabric bomb exploded in there....

Mom's excuses are 1. She just finished the big quilt for Julie. 2. She just finished her little quilt for the Doll Quilt Swap. 3. It was her & Mim-may's birthday last week. 4. Mim-may was in the hospital. 5. It's been wicked HOT. 6. The new chill chest sucked up a lot of time...

I do have to admit she hasn't forgotten ME... Fresh stinky goodness and a nice bowl of water every day, fresh crunchies to nibble on, treats at my regular time, and scritches whenever I ask... so she isn't a complete failure.

Thank goodness.

  1. What do you think you're doing, Millie - dobbing your Mom in like that? We didn't know that she hadn't made her bed or tidied the house, and you didn't need to tell us! Minus two points for you Miss Millie.

  7. You look so precious there! She loves you so much to chase you around at that time, and knows we'd be disappointed without seeing your cute face.

  9. Your mum needs to relax. You don't have to post every day. We will miss you, but we understand.

  10. So many quilts! Wow. Isn't annoying when the camera follows you everywhere. We have that problem too.

  11. As long as ya are getting the stinky goodness, crunchies and treats, it is good. Mom loves ya, even if she is a bit distracticated. She'll catch up soon.
