Sunshine in the Snow

Mom left her day hunting gig early yesterday and got home before it started snowing. She made some bread, and then started working on this yellow Sunshine quilt for Mr Karate. She says between now and New Year's the only sewing she is doing is stuff she wants to do.

We got about 8 inches of snow. That's almost as tall as I am! And we will be getting more tomorrow. One thing is for sure, we will have a White Christymas!

**Update, 3:55 PM Saturday afternoon... We got about 12 inches of snow, and it has been snowing lightly ALL DAY! We are supposed to get about 8 more inches tomorrow and another storm is headed our way for Christymas Eve!

I am no longer dreaming of a White Christmas!

(Because I don't need to dream, that's why!)

Mom made bread yesterday, too! Our Grampy loves fresh bread better than anything!

One of our Aunties works at UNH. She said they closed the campus again for a snow day and told her to stay home yesterday! She was very glad to oblige! Stay warm, Millie!

  5. Hi Millie,

I'm glad you are a indoor kitty now. With the snow almost as high as you are tall and more coming you might get buried in it if you still lived out side.

  6. You would disappear in that snow!
Stay inside where it is cozy and warm.
PS you are on High Five Saturday today, stop by if you have time.

And a Merry Furry Christmas to all of you!

  8. We are glad your mum got home before the snow. Being indoors is the best place to be when it is cold and snowy.

  10. Good for your mom! She deserves some time to just do what she wants to do. She has done so much for so many!

We hope you will be safe and warm and that the storm cause you any major problems -- like not electricity.

PS - We like what you-know-who did to the statue's hat. Nice decorating. hehehe.

    Hi Millie,
That sound nice, being inside with the smell of fresh baked bread. We love quilts and have one of our own :-) We haven't got snow here, but a storm blowing up from the west. Nice to be inside. Stay warm!

  17. My mom is droolin' on the keyboard over the thought of fresh bread...with butter..all hot and warm and yum!

I, personally, would rather eat a two-day old salmon, but that's just me.

  18. That quilt looks nice and sunny. Something pleasant for such miserable weather.

I can sympathize with you and your mom. We're having a lot of snow here in NJ too and the kitties are starting to demand their heated kitty bed.
