Monday Quilts

Mom and Auntie went to a big quilt show yesterday. This was Mom's favorite quilt. It is by Mary Transom, from New Zealand, and is called "Memories of Roses." It is machine pieced, machine appliqued and machine quilted. Mom said it was magnificent.

Mom liked this black and white one second best. It is by Ana Buzzalino from Canada and is called "On the Wings of a Dream."
But she still loves me best.

The first quilt is more like a tapestry. It is just gorgeous. Of course it pales in comparison to you, Millie.

  5. I thinks I likes the one you is lying on best of all. Wow a New Zealand lady made the top one - she is pretty clever, and even though NZ is small we don't know her (usually it is like 6 degrees of seperation, and everyone knows everyone else here).

    Have a nice week.

  10. Wow! So beautiful! Our mom is thinking of taking a crocheting class because she says she needs a new hobby. But she said it would have to wait until after football season b/c right now her Saturdays are full and most classes are on Saturdays around here!

We should be getting our gizzy quilt today hopefully! We can't wait!

Those quilts are awesome. How wonderful it would be to be able to make something like that. But as other people have said, they can't compare to your beauty.
