The Giz is Gone

Gizzy went to the Rainbow Bridge this afternoon. He had to be helped. The vet said he was probably down to 5 pounds. She also felt a tumor that was not there 2 months ago. Gizzy had intestinal cancer.

This is probably Mom's all-time favorite picture of him. It hangs on the wall of her office at her day-hunting place, right next to a few pictures of Mr Karate. He was a little over 1 year old when it was taken.

There are lots of leaky eyes here. It's gonna be really lonely for me without him.

We're going to be off-line for a few days.

We are all very sad here, it has been a very difficult week our thoughts and prayers are with you and Millie, Jasmine and Mr.Karate. Here is a passage I like a lot and I hope it will make you think of Gizzy...

"Sometimes in life, you find a special friend. Someone who changes your life just by being a part of it. Someone who makes you laugh until you can't stop. Someone who makes you believe that there really is good in the world. Someone who convinces you that there really is an unlocked door just waiting for you to open it. This is forever friendship. When you're down and the world seems dark and empty, your forever friend lifts you up in spirit and makes that dark and empty world suddenly seem bright and full. Your forever friend gets you through the hard times, the sad times and the confused times. If you turn and walk away, your forever friend follows. If you lose your way, your forever friend guides you and cheers you on. Your forever friend holds your hand and tells you that everything is going to be okay. And if you find such a friend, you feel happy and complete because you need not worry. You have a forever friend, and forever has no end."

Rest in peace little Gizzy know that you were sent from the loving arms in this world to the next...

    "I explained to Saint Peter
    I'd rather stay here,

    I'll be very quiet,
    I won't make a sound -
I'll just sit quietly, and wait.

    I'll be here,

All of us at the Fancidots howse are so sorry to hear of Gizzy's passing. We know yur meowmy did effurthing possibel to make Gizzy as comfurtable as she kood, and take good care of him.

We know Millie will miss her grand old man Gizzy, just like owr meowmy and Emma (and we) miss owr Grandpa Sasquatch.

We will send lots of purrs and prayers to Gizzy and a special prayer to Granpa Sasquatch at the Bridge to welcome Gizzy - show him the coolest streams, the sunniest napping places and the most fragerant fields of flowers in which to chase butterflies to pass the time, while he waits at the bridge, for his family, too.

Our eyez are leeking, meowmy's eyez are leeking - and we send prayers to all of you, to find comfurt in the memoreez of yur wonnerful an special guy.

Goodbye sweet Gizzy -- You will be missed by MANY...

I'm a fairly new kitty blogger, and I didn't have the pleasure of meeting Grizzy. He sounds like he was a wonderful boykitty, and I wish I'd known him. The Ballicai and I send worlds of love, hugs, and purrs. May your memories of your precious Grizzy bring you comfort, and my heart goes out to you at this difficult time.

    With a heartful of sympathy,

    The Ballicus Mom
