Millie is in the Cat Carrier!

the Lady here...

It took some stinky goodness to do it, and a gentle push, but Millie is in the cat carrier!

I feel like such a heel. Now she is at the vet's and she may stay overnight since she needs an empty stomach for surgery. But they know all about her and will take good care of her.

    Hi there Millie's Lady,

I know you feel badly. We love our puddins so much that we think they'll hold things like this against us. You've done good, both for Millie AND your laundry, bathrobe, comforter, etc.

Gosh, maybe after the visit to the v-e-t, Millie will do what my cat does....goes out of his way to love me so that I never do that to him again! It could be the turning point of her not letting you hold her.

She'll get used to you... in time. It's taken 5 years for me to be able to touch Sophia's paws and I still do not get to touch the tummy. Only Popi gets to touch the tummy and for 5 nanoseconds at that...

  6. Aw, I'm sure you feel bad, but maybe Millie will miss you so much that when she gets home she'll let you love on her more with pets and stuff. I was 2 years old & feral when I was rescued, but after 2 years of mommy and daddy lovin' (and patience), I sleep right up against mommy, lay next to daddy while he watches TV and let pets anywhere on my head and even my back, and I sit on the foot of the person making my treat dish.

The tummy is still off limits (and I like to tease mommy with it), but touching my paws is OK for a few strokes (getting clipped is a struggle as with most cats). I even started talking to them & purring after about 6 mos to a year (before that, no sounds at all! Not even a "meow")

Anyway, I guess what I'm trying to say is, Millie will get more lovey with time, maybe not as much as always domestic cats are, but my mommy says that means when I am lovey, I really, really mean it.

Let us know how Millie is. We're sending good thoughts your way!
