News about Jasmine

The Lady has news from the v-e-t about Jasmine. There isn't anything they can do for her. The Lady is sad.

I am pissed. I mean, Jasmine isn't my best friend or anything, but the v-e-t fixed ME up and now I am a healthy kitty. I don't understand how they helped me but can't help her. I am upset they can't do anything for Jasmine. That really sucks.

I'd go over and give her some headbutts and purrs, but I know she'd just hiss and growl at me.

(from the Lady: Jasmine has cancer of the eye.)

  5. it is so sad the vet can not do anything to help miss jasmine. perhaps her eye is why she always is hissy and growls at you miss millie.

your lady will need you to be there for her when she feels sad. it will make her feel a little bit better if you let her pet and cuddle you. if you purrs for her she will smile.

take good care of your lady. she has taken such good care of you. we will keep your family (yes you have a furever family now) in our prayers.

  8. This is very sad news. :(

Millie - your family are really going to need your support in these difficult times. The Lady and Gizzy have known Jasmine for a long time and this news must be terribly upsetting for them. And when Jasmine hisses at you, it's probably because she's not feeling well and not because she doesn't like you. I'm sure you of all kitties knows what it's like to feel unwell.

You need to give the Lady lots of purrs and headbutts, and you need to be patient with Gizzy and Jasmine.

Also remember that there are lots of poodins here in the blogosphere if you need to somekitty.

  13. So sad for Jasmine. But that is probably why she doesn't want to play. You are sweet for letting her play first with your new toy. Sharing is good. And help your new mama, the lady, get through this rough time. She would probably like it if you'd purr for her. It would cheer her up. Hope Jasmine can be comfortable. Can they remove her eye and stop the cancer?? It's drastic, maybe, but you have a bionic part, maybe something is possible for her. Gentle headbumpies and purrs go your way.

Oh no, we're so sorry to hear that. Gosh, Millie, maybe that's why Malcolm was there to save you. So you could go to your new home and take care of the nice lady when her elder cat got sick. We'll say a purrayer that Jasmine feels no pain and goes in comfort.

  15. Oh man, I'm sorry. It sucks that sometimes the stabby people can help and sometimes they can't. I don't think they like that, either :(

  16. oh, how furry, furry sad. maybe she has been so hissy because her eye bothered her. maybe what our She calls a "second opinion" might give some hope?

now's the time for you to grow up a little inside your head, as well as outside in your sturdy little body. be good and learn to purr when the Lady touches you. you will have to take very good care of her, with lots and lots of affecshun. beans need that from us.

funny how these things work out; malcom found you, the innernet beans & kitties saved you, and now if you can't save ms jasmine, you can help save the Lady's heart a little.

we will purray that ms jasmine has no pains, and that the Lady will be given strength at this sad time, and that you are able to be a helper to the Lady.

    purrs and heartfelt headbumps,

  17. I'm so sorry to hear the sad news about Jasmine. Have you had a second opinion and is there anything they can do to at least slow the growth of the cancer? What can be done to keep her comfortable? I lost our cat Puff at only 6 years of age to tumors of the neck & chest, but by the time it was discovered it was too late to do anything, so I know what you're going through.
