Ready for Irene

Irene is coming, and Mom and I are ready.

We have foods for me,and Mom.Mom made a cake and has batteries for her flashlights.Mom has charged up all her toys:and bought water for us to drink, and filled up the bathtub with buckets full of water,
(although why Mom did this, I do not know. Irene will be bringing PLENTY of water with her.)

The weather guys say we won't get as much rain, but we are on the side that will get a lot of wind. Around here they are mostly worried about trees falling down over electrical wires. It is raining hard now (11 PM Saturday night) and by the time you all read this (6 AM Sunday morning) it will be raining a lot harder, and by about 9-10 AM it will be VERY windy.

Mom will be watching it all.

I will be hiding under the bed.

  3. Well Millie - I think it's my turn to razz on your mom. It was good of her to stock up on stinky goodness for you, but did you see the stinky goodness she made for herself? Wowee. What a feast. If I were you, I'd insist on sharing some of that with her!
I'm also concerned that she's got all her toys charged up and ready to use - but what about yours? Are they all lined up, neat and tidy, so you can see the full array of options and let her know which ones you want to play with?

Stay safe and give your mom a big hug and a kiss if she gets a bit frightened.
