Bad News, Good News

The Bad News came early yesterday. Mim-may had a blood clot in each lung! This is very serious indeed. It meant Mim-may would be staying in the hospital for at least two more days.

She called Mom yesterday afternoon, "When you come, could you please bring me something decadent?"

Mom knew JUST what to bring to Mim-may. Some Evil Little Chocolates.

The Good News came after dinner last night. They were moving Mim-may from the Cardiac ICU to a different part of the hospital where Mim-may didn't have to wear a wire all the time.

Yippee!

Today is Mim-may's birthday! Mom has made some Red Velvet Cupcakes (pictures to follow) and the Family will gather at the hospital later today to celebrate. We'd all rather she was home with Pip-pay and Missy-the-Woofie, but it's okay.

Happy Birthday Mim-may!

Millie - you'll need to give your Mom lots and lots of cuddles this evening when she comes home, okay? I'm sure that she'll be wanting them.

  19. Thanks for sharing the good news. And it's VERY good news that she's responding to treatment well enough to be moved out of ICU this quickly. I hope you have a lovely birthday celebration, even though it's not at home.

  21. We think the EVIL little chocolates are the best medicine ever, followed by the red cupcakes. If more people ate these things all the time, maybe no one would ever get sick at all?

    Happy Birfday to Mim-may!

  22. At least it sounds like Mim-may is past the worst of it now. I hope she enjoys her birthday, even considering where she has to spend it. Isn't it funny how kitties and humans are alike - we both want treats when we have to deal with medical stuff!
