Mom thought since my birthday falls on a Thursday, we would do a Thursday Thirteen with 13 pictures of me and my life so far.
1. This first one was after I came back from the v-e-t with my new bionic leg. As you can see I was not thrilled about having my picture taken. The guy holding me was my # 1 Best Bud, Malcolm, who will always have a very special place in my heart because , let's face it, without him, I wouldn't be here.
2. This one was taken by my foster dad Dan, on my Gotcha Day, August 5, 2006.
3. At my new house, afraid to come out from under the bureau, but still ready to play.
4. Me that first week Mom brought me to New Hampster. Look how little I was!
5. In the sewing room playing with Mom's stuff.
6. I am hiding behind the curtain on the windowsill. It's still a good place to hide.
7. Posing for pictures for Mom. She wants me to do that a lot, so I have to humor her.
8. I love water. For a cat, that is, which is pretty weird, from what I understand.
9. This was me in my "What makes you think I'm ever going to let you touch me" stage. I got over that. I love to be petted, on my terms.
10. This is a good place to watch what's going on.
11. I loved our Christymas Tree. I hope Mom puts one up again next year.
12. It is my job to learn everything, find everything, know everything.
13. I am quite happy here. I have a nice Mom, a safe home, a brother and sister who love me (well, I know Gizzy does...), all the food I need, and treats whenever I ask nicely.Mom says that maybe by my next birthday I'll be sitting near her and letting her pick me up.
Maybe.

Happy Birthday Millie! We've been following your adventures ever since Malcolm found you, and we remember that first picture, plus the little videos he posted. You sure have grown to a lovely young lady!
ReplyDeleteWe're sorry we haven't gotten our pictures on the quilt blog yet, but we will this weekend. We've hardly even had a chance to visit blogs these days. Grr and Cocoa are still sleeping on quilt covered cat beds every night - do you know what that means? It means that Cocoa's sleepy spot by the Lady's chest is available for ME! Cocoa used to curl up with his head on her cheek and his paw in her hand and purr her to sleep. I use the spot a little differently though - I put my butt in the Lady's face and my tail across her head while sitting right on top of her, purring and licking her arm and kneading with all my claws out. She hasn't been sleeping very well recently though. Dunno why. I heard her mention putting Cocoa's quilt on her pillow, to lure him back.
