We are supposed to have crack-and-boom storms today. I know we need the rain, but I do not like crack-and-boom storms.
This is one of the daylilies that Mom planted on Sunday. Around here all the daylilies are orange, so Mom didn't want any orange ones. She wanted hers to be different, so she got some yellow ones.
And she got this red one. She bought a purple one too, but that isn't open.

Your mom pick beautiful colors for her day lilies Millie. Not a common orange one in the bunch. Can't wait to see the red one when it opens. The freshly painted porch steps look great by the way. We don't like crack & boom storms either Millie, but the air is good for sniffing after it rains. C&B storms are almost as frightening as the fireworks on July 4th. If people could experience the noises like we cats do, they would probably ban fireworks everywhere cats live (which is almost everywhere). We hope the storm passes by your house quick!
Your mom has worked very hard improving things around the outside of the house this Summer. She deserves some headbutts for how great the gardens & landscaping have made your house look well loved & cared for. Keep on enjoying yourself from the safety of your screened porch.
