The Front Porch

The weather has been so lovely lately that Mom gets home from day hunting and opens the door to the front porch for me.  While she does her stuff, I hang out on the porch.  She has been fighting a cold and other stuff lately so she has been napping on the couch and going to bed early. Last night she left the front door open after she went to bed so I could stay on the porch longer.

It was pawsome. I stayed out there until 2 AM, when she got up and closed it.

If she tries to go on the porch when I am out there, I hiss at her, so she can't take any pictures of me.

These are some of our peonies. Aren't they pretty? Mom says they smell good too.

Your Mom's peonies are beautiful Millie. We think you are getting very brave sitting in the porch all on your own.

Why don't you like your mom being on the porch with you, Millie? The photos you've shown us of the porch made it look like a really cosy spot for mom and pusscat to spend time together. And if she's not feeling 100%, then the least you could do is snuggle up to her and watch the world go by through the porch screen together. I think you need to reconsider.

Lucky kitty! Our mom bean makes us come in from the sunny room (it's not sunny at night) when she goes to bed.

Seriously, you hiss at her? We think you don't want to share the porch.

2 AM? Mum makes sure all is shut before she heads to bed. Mum cut some pee-o-knees too and took them to work. She says hers smell all nice too.

Your peonies make mommy remember the garden outside her window when she was growing up. They had pretty white peonies. And, she says, tiger lilies, roses, and tulips.
Memories like that make Mommy smile. Thank you!

That doesn't sound like you are being a very nice girl, Millie -hissing ( or even thinking about hissing) at your Mom - BE NICE to her - she is very special.
