Still Warm

It was warm all day yesterday, and Mom left a couple of windows open for me so I could sniff the outdoors.  When she got home from her day hunting gig, I got to sit out on the porch again.

We live on a very, very, very quiet street. There are no motorcycles, no fast cars, no sirens, no streetlights, no people walking by talking or arguing. It is different outside, but I like it. There are lots of birds and skwirrls and chipmunks and other critters. We do see some folks walking their woofies every day. (Beau lives next door and Hector lives across the street.) The sky is dark out, and you can see lots more stars in the sky than at the old place.

No motorcycles? Oh that sounds so quietly nice. We are surrounded with the horrible things!

Your mom left windows open even when she wasn't at home? Wowza! This new place just gets better and better.

Perhaps she knows that Beau and Hector would bark a lot if anyone tried to break in and snatch you Millie. Or maybe she's confident that if SHE can't catch you and pick you up, a burglar has no chance of grabbing you and making off with you.

How long, do you think, before you might put some heat on your mom to let you actually step out into the garden? Do you think she'd let you? I guess it won't be before summer. She might even offer to buy you a collar and lead and take you outside with her when she's working in the garden. (I suspect that you wouldn't go for that idea, would you? LOL)

Lots to think about, and look at and sniff. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy.

It hasn't taken you long to find out the names of the neighbours, Millie - Beau and Hector - are they hoomans or woofies?

It sounds like a lovely location.

You seem to have settled in to your new home so well Millie and it sounds as though there is lots of birds and animals for you to chitter at.

We are up in the air, but we still hear sirens a lot. We live near a fire station and a police station and at least two hospitals. Whew! It can get noisy!
We live on the quiet side of our building, but still!

Oh that sounds wonderful Millie. I would love to sniff a skirril and a chipmonkey - I bet they sniff good. Those woofies would love to meet you I'm sure.
