Box Overload

Lookit the two empty bookcases.

See this big stack of boxes?

They are filled with the stuff that used to be on the bookcases.  Mom has more books to pack, and she can't wait until they are all done. She says they take up more space than they should.

I think she means the boxes get TOO heavy TOO fast and she has to use more boxes. She has two more bookcases to pack and she says "Enough already!"

I have been sleeping under the table in the other room where I can watch but stay hidden.

Heh.

I hope your mom is pacing herself with all this packing and not hurting her back. You better work on getting her to take little naps Millie.

Tsk. Why are those boxes not stacked like a staircase so that you can play on them? It's practically an M-word LAW!

From Mogan's comment, you guys probably should give your human a massage ;)

You keep your eye on her and don't let her work too hard. This is all going to be great for all of you.

I only had one bookshelf at our old house, and I got rid of 90% of my books, as I was sick of packing them up and moving them from place to place. They sure are heavy to cart around.

Looks like you are making great progress.

Mommy said moving books is yucky. And she got rid of a lot of books (donated to another person who loves books) AFTER she moved.
Sometimes moms are dumb.

You are wise to keep your distance, but where you can still check-up on what mom is up to Millie. I saw the new wind chimes mom bought & listened to their beautiful sound. I have never heard wind chimes with a more lovely & unusual sound. I might have to get one for us to hang from our deck. Those books are getting packed quickly.I finally parted with 100s of book by donating them to the city library. They counted them & figured out what their worth was & send me home with a good sized tax deduction. At my age, I'm not likely to get around to reading them all again & the space was needed for fabric on the shelves. Your human is a speedy packer - bet those boxes get used up fast. Don't work too hard Millie, we wouldn't want you to strain yourself.

Mum says she amembers all the boxes of books when she moved. She buys less books now. She said the mover guys have ways of moving lots of boxes at a time and they are strong. So it goes fast.

UHaul sells book packing boxes, and what you don't use they buy back. They're just a perfect size to avoid overloading.
