Thursday Things

Mom is in a tizzy lately. It seems the great satan MS has sent her a request to count all her MS software at her day-hunting gig, and they want it NOW! Mom is all worried, she says those CALS and VeeLAs are confusing and she has had a hard time sleeping over it.

So she has been trying to keep busy to keep her mind off it. Do you know what she has been doing? She has been cleaning out drawers.

Yup. She gives ME grief when I paw through her drawers, but she can toss things around and it's OK.  Here is the one big drawer she has been struggling with for a long time:

It looks OK to me, but she was always shoving stuff around and moving stuff to find what she wanted.

When she got some wire bins for the drawers in her office, she had some extra, so she tried using them in this drawer, but you can see some things just don't fit right. So she started measuring and fiddling, and actually drew out a diagram on paper.

Then Mr Brown brought a box full of bamboo boxes, and lookit how nicely they fit in the drawer.

This is what the drawer looked like when she was done filling up all the little boxes.  Mom says she might "fine-tune" it a bit more, but I know she's happy. When she pulls the drawer open it doesn't make a ton of noise any more, and she can find what she wants without moving lots of things around.

Can you see how impressed I am?

PS the snot   snow is still out there.

Ooooh - Millie. You be very very kind to your mom if she's got that dreadful Mr Gates chasing her at her day-hunting gig.

As for that drawer - most of us have a drawer that looks like that!

And ... your mom is allowed to toss stuff around in the drawers because it's HER stuff. Okay? You can toss your own stuff around, but not hers. Them's the rules.

Your mom has the same green measuring cups that we do (and we had the yellow ones except those now live across town with our son).

Keep purring for your mom ... and I agree with Megan - great photo of you today, Millie.

This sort of thing really excites my Mommy. (she's weird like that)
Great job.

We see that you're impressed and "pressing" that material at the same time. Multi-tasking. We like that. MOL!
