Thursday Thought

So you tell me, how if my Mom is supposedly "so creative" that when she goes out to buy shoes
and she gets one black pair and one brown pair. How come she comes home with these?  I mean, REALLY?

If you're "creative" and "artsy-fartsy" aren't you supposed to get two different pairs of shoes?

I'm just sayin.

Mom said that if they are comfortable, your Mom should get a pair in every color available!

My human buys multiples of the same shoes too. And clothes. If she really likes something, she wears them until they wear out... and wishes she still had them, hence the multiples.

I agree with you Millie. However, you need to take into account that you mom has to wear shoes to her day-hunting gig and it's quite likely that she feels that she needs to be more conservative there than she is when she's at home with you. In this context, comfort and not looking too 'way out' are probably the most important considerations, as disappointing as that is.

I bought two pairs of shoes a couple of years ago when I started a new job - exactly the same but one pair was red and the other was black. I wore the black ones to work usually, and the red ones on 'casual dress Friday'. My goal was to start wearing one of each colour on Fridays once my work colleagues got used to me. Unfortunately, I never got to do that: I didn't fit in at all in that work place and I ended up leaving having never shown them my one black shoe + one red shoe ensemble. They thought I was pretty way out even with 'normal' shoes!

But, it might be something that your mom could consider - wearing one brown shoe and one black shoe one day and seeing if anyone notices or says anything. LOL

The head peep buys multiples of the same shoes. By the time the first one wears out, they always discontinue them, and that causes HBO words. so it's better to buy a second pair if she really likes them so that she has a backup.

We're glad we don't wear shoes. It sounds like a lot of extra fuss.

They must have felt very good on her feet. Mom has trouble finding really good, comfy shoes so she gets it.

I am a bit like that two, and have lots of tops in a couple of colours and often only a couple of bottoms.

This summer I am going to buy two pair of birkenstocks. I tend to wear them all the summer long.

I think Lynne, you should go crazy and buy some bright shoes for a bit of fun.

I guessing these are the mundane office uniform shoes... I have exact same regimental brown and regimental black in my uniform inventory. I look at it this way... Sometimes creativity must be reigned in at the mundane with certain uniform accessories or it would be all used up there and none left for home and furry friends.
Have a great day.

That is the way mum would buy shoes. Heck, she might just buy two black pairs and be done with it. She prefers comfy over sytle.
