Truthful Thursday

Thank you all for remembering my Rescue-versary. Mom and I knew the day was coming, but we both forgot to post about it.  I am so happy it turned out to be a Very Good Day because it could so easily have been my Very Last Day.  The stars were all aligned that day. Malcolm rescued me, and everybody helped.  There are lots of Good Folks in the world.

Getting back to Monday's post about Mom making the bed, Mom likes to make the bed for a couple of reasons. First, when you come to visit, you see the bed from the door when you enter. Mom doesn't want visitors to see a sloppy bed.  Secondly, Mom likes the blankets a certain way when she gets into bed at night, and if it hasn't been made in the morning, Mom has to do a lot of rearranging, and she doesn't like that. But the biggest reason Mom likes to make the bed is to show off the fantastic quilt her friends Julie and Chris made for her with her leftover bits from other quilts.

It was a Very Very Good Day indeed, Millie. One of quite a few you've had in your life time. You're a very lucky pusscat.

The quilt is lovely, and my mum likes the bed made up to. It is a nice photo of you Miss M - a great spot for chillaxing.

It is a happy day that you are still here with us. We prefer mum doesn't make the bed, better to snuggle in. But you can't see it from the front door.

One thing our mom's mom told her that she has always remembered is: "if you don't do anything else all day at least make the bed. Everything looks tidier with the bed made and it's nice to crawl back into at night."
Other bits of Grandma advice include: always take a sweater, and never pass up the chance to use a bathroom.

Lovely quilt Millie, and a cozy place to curl up in.

We're happy you were rescued, otherwise we would not have found you here in the blogosphere!
