Tell-All Tuesday

Last Saturday morning Mom listed some stuff she wanted to get rid of on the local freecycle website. But the stuff never appeared until Monday afternoon.  Mom got home to dozens of emails from people wanting the stuff. Mom contacted the first person to respond to each item, and within two hours, all the stuff except one thing was gone.  Mom also made sure to tell the freecycle folks the items had been TAKEN except that notice hasn't been put up yet so Mom is getting more and more emails... "Is the bike rack still available?" "Has anybody picked up the crock pot?" blah blah.

Then Mom got a call from her dad. He is 80 years old, and was calling from the hospital. Mom and her dad spent the day together yesterday. They had a nice time.  Anyway, he had cut himself on his table saw. He is OK, he will get better. (actually it is not okay, but Mom wouldn't talk about it). Mom said all the werds on the bad werds list after she hung up. Over and over again. I do not know what all this has to do with "safety" but she was pretty stoked.  So make sure your beans don't do anything stupid with sharp tools.

Anyway, all this excitement is why I haven't got a cute picture of me to post today.

Well, I'm not sure that "excitement" is exactly the right word, Millie. "Activity" perhaps? Terrific that your mom had such a positive experience with Freecycle - she must have really good quality junk to get rid of!
Concerning about her dad, though. I hope he gets better very quickly.

I hope your human's dad heals fast Millie! If he had to go to the hospital, that does not sound too good. :-(

Well said, Millie. Beans need to pay much more attention to safety . . . Be sure to cuddle your Mom a lot - she needs you!

Angel and Kirby, Mom's dad and Pip-pay aren't the same person.

It sounds like it's been pretty crazy busy there, Millie, so we understand about the picture!

We sure hope your Mom's Dad is all better soon. That sounds scary!

Hope your Dad is healed and healthy soon. At least he had the sense to call you. My Dad, now deceased, was so stubborn he wouldn't call - but the neighbours always did.
