Tuxie Tuesday

I love neck scritches. I almost can't get enough. I have been known to pester Mom in the middle of the night to get some.

Millie Monday

One of Mom's quilt blogging friends has lent her a really nice sewing machine. Mom's really excited.  She keeps talking about how much I changed her life, how if she hadn't adopted me everything would be different.

Well, like, duh!

Quiet Sunday

Mom's sewing machine is busted, so she's not a happy camper today. I'm staying out of her way.

Invaded

My house was invaded by squillions of beans for the last couple of days and I have been hiding out under the bed.  Finally they have all gone, and I have my own house back to myself.

It was great - I guess. I could smell good foods and hear everybean talking and laughing. One kidbean kept looking under the bed and sticking his hand in my face. I am pretty sure he wanted to be friends but I wasn't coming out for nothing.

As soon as the beans left, I came out from my hiding spot. I did get as much turkey as I could eat.

Words Only Wednesday

Mom's ready.

I'm ready.

I'm pretty sure the turkey doesn't know it's ready, but it is.

If your beans are traveling, I hope they get "over the river and through the woods" safely.

If your house will be invaded by fambly and friends, I hope you find a nice cozy place to snooze the days away.

Tomorrow... TURKEY!

Tattle Tale Tuesday

Mom had a rough day yesterday.

First, one of her road warriors brought his laptop over and the hard drive had died.  Mom rebuilt the laptop with a new one. Then just as she was about to turn it over to the road warrior, it got kicked off the network by mistake, but couldn't get back on. Mom had to start over from scratch.  Mom says don't ask how it happened, she's still cross-eyed about it.

Then a bit later, after kick starting one of her servants, she was making a small change with it blinked, and everybody at the day hunting gig got kicked off their computers.  Oops.  Mom wanted to crawl under her desk and hide.

Heck, I would have.

Seriously, I could give lessons. If only she'd learn!

Millie Monday

Mom's got a big week coming up.  Since she's cooking not one, but TWO turkeys, and at least a dozen beans are coming over for Turkey Day, she's been spending a lot of time in the kitchen.  She's already cleaned the house, but I suspect she'll find something else that needs doing.

Me? I'm watching as much Bird TV as I can. The cat hammock is a perfect spot for it.  What are your beans doing this Turkey Day?

Easy Like Sunday

Mom spent most of the day yesterday in the kitchen cooking.  She'd put stuff in the hot-as-hell box and when that came out, she'd put something else in. The menu for Turkey Day is set and she is happy.

I spent the day curled up in the blankets at the foot of her bed, out of sight.

Today we are going to watch a bit of Tennis, and then some of Mom's friends are coming over for an early dinner.

Finally Friday

I'm happy the weekend is here. I've been getting lots of snuggle time with Mom. When her back hurts, she lies down on the couch and reads her Kindle. I squeeze myself into the space between her hips and the couch. Yeah, she gets pushed a bit towards the edge, but she doesn't mind. I get scritches, and she gets the benefits of a purring cat nearby.

I can tell Turkey Day is coming. Mom's looking through all her cookbooks (she has over 150) for good recipes!

Thursday Thoughts

1. I love it when Mom brings me a new scratching pad. I especially love it when it's covered in 'Nip!

2. I am an absolutely totally black and white kitty. I have NO brown furs. Mom says the funny brown in the photo above is nothing but a shadow or a result of digital flashibox weirdness.

3. Kimo, GO HOME! I'm worried about you!

Tuxie Tuesday

Just hanging out in the cat hammock, watching bird TV.  Are your beans starting to get crazy about Turkey Day? Mine is.

Millie Monday

There's nothing better than napping in warm laundry out of the drying monster

Unless maybe it's winning a prize!  Ayla, Iza and Marley and their TBT won a copy of the "Awkward Family Pet Photos" book.
Concatulations, and may you all laugh at the pictures, and never be caught in one!

A New Rug Sucking Monster

Several of you asked the other day what I did to deserve new Catnip flavored Temptations treats.  I deserved them because Mom brought home a new rug-sucking monster.

Mom took this one out of the box, and pushed it all around the house. It isn't as noisy as the old one, and Mom says it's much better at sucking the rug, but I still don't like it.

I like the nip flavored temptations a LOT, and Mom found them at the grocery store, and she bought MORE!

'Nip flavored Temp-tay-tions treats! Nom, nom, nom!

Can I tell you how good these are?

Veteran's Day

In remembrance of all who have fought for our country.  Did you see the Google home page today? I got leaky eyes when I saw it. Dunno if it's visible outside the US.

Awkward Wednesday

Being a famous blogging kitty has advantages. I get asked to review all kinds of products.  Sometimes I get free stuff.  Most of the time I say no, but when the guys from Awkward Family Photos asked me to review their new book Awkward Family Pet Photos, I was curious.
We all know what it's like to have our beans pull out the flashy box at the most inopportune moments and take embarrassing pictures of us.

This book is a collection of the, best, I mean, worst, I mean... the most awkward photos of beans and the pets they love so much. Here are a couple of my favorites.
Can you see the Meezer in this wedding photo? Does she look happy to you?
Lookit this poor woofie, covered in aluminum foil. Love truly knows no bounds. We can all see he'd rather be someplace else.

When I received my copy, I wrote to the guys, "I'm kinda glad I'm NOT in this book!"

Since cats are so much superior to human beans, I regard this book as positively hilarious, and I can't wait to hear the laughter of all the fambly beans when they see it.

I also have a copy to give away! The publishers will mail a copy anywhere in the US or Canada, so if you would like to win a free copy of this very funny book, leave a comment, and a way for me to reach you.

And the next time your bean comes over with the flashy box.... RUN!

Tuxie Tuesday

Mom's life is getting back to "normal" but she's still far behind in helping me with my blogging.  She's been so crazy busy since the summer working on the stupid day hunting servants that my blog posts have been very short, and I've hardly been able to visit a lot of my blogging friends or leave as many comments as I would like.

There's a lot going on around here, and I have a lot to tell you about.

First things first.  My cousin PlusOne has been accepted into a music program that will allow him to visit Europe next summer. He'll be visiting France, Italy and Greece. (Mom is practically green with envy.) Thing is, though, he'll need lots and lots of green papers to be able to do it.  (About six times more green papers than were needed to give me my bionic leg.)  It's a very exciting opportunity for a young person to see the world and share music, and I want to help him.

Mom and Auntie Karate are making a big Queen sized quilt to raffle off to help raise green papers.  You can buy a raffle ticket for $10USD.  Go to Roxy's blog to buy a raffle ticket (or three or four). The button is on the sidebar on the left.  Mom and Auntie Karate made a quilt like this before to help some of our friends.  You can read about that quilt, and see pictures here.

Mom says there might even be a Gizzy Quilt raffle after the new year, so you kitties (and woofies) won't be left out.

Well, that's enough for one day. I'll catch you all up on the other stuff later.  Now it's back to what I do best... hanging out in the cat hammock watching bird tv!

PS This is my 2,000th post!  Holy Bast!

Millie Monday

Mom and I were both napping on the couch yesterday. Mom's back was hurting really bad, so she read a book on her Kindle. I found a nice warm spot.  Mom got all excited, but I do not know why.

Easy Like Sunday Morning

I've got it really easy this Sunday. I'm napping in the window soaking up the sun. I've got something different to watch outside the window, though. A bunch of guy beans are working on the roof of the house next door. They keep throwing stuff off the roof into the gigantic dumpster in the driveway.  Then they carry big loads of stuff  back up to the roof and bang away with hammers.

It makes me so glad I am a cat.

Sunny Saturday

It's sunny out, and Mom's doing the washing machine shuffle, and other stuff. Me, I'm hanging out in the cat hammock, doing my own washing.

Have a nice day!

Thursday Thought

There is still snow out there, but Mim-may and Pip-pay have their electricity back, and so do a lot of Mom's fellow day-hunters. The broken tree branches are being removed, and the kids are back in school. Mom says it's almost back to normal. Normal is good.

Tuxie Tuesday

This is what it looks like outside this morning. The snow is still here. It will melt, of course.  Practically every tree in the neighborhood has lost branches. It's a pretty sad sight. Mom has seen rows of trees with devastating damage.
This tree is about half a mile from my house.  Many people in New Hampster do not have electricity, and there are entire towns without it.

Mim-may and Pip-pay will be coming over later with Missy-the-Woofie because they still don't have electricity or heat at their house.
