Tattle-Tale Tuesday

I love my Mom. She's pretty terrific. She isn't perfect though. I am sure that is an endearing quality in some universe, but for me it's just a good tattle-tale.

A squillion years ago, Mim-may gave Mom this notebook with cool Laurel Burch blue cats.

Mom uses it to remember stuff. As you can see, she writes stuff she needs to buy when she goes food-hunting, the stuff she wants to cook and the things she has to do. Mom liked that it had a bookmark and the cover closed with a magnet.
She was getting to the end, when my dear sweetheart Monty Q and SheBean sent her a brandy spanking new one.Mom was Over The Moon with excitement. She started filling it right up, and last week she brought it with her when she goes food hunting, like she always does. When she was done, she put it in her bag, and came home.

Except she didn't.

Put it in her bag, I mean. She came home.

She couldn't find the black book. She looked in all the bags. She looked in the metal masheen. She moved every single thing in the house looking for the black book, but she couldn't find it.

She was seriously bummed.

So on Saturday, when she was at the local bookstore, she bought herself a new one. It has a bookmark, and closes with a magnet.
When she went food hunting the next day, she had an idea, and went to the Customer Service Desk and asked if anybody found a black notebook.

Without saying a word, the lady reached into a drawer and handed this to Mom.

(Ahem!)

We are glad Mom got her notebook back, and we also really like the look of the new one!

Mom always has to encourage her students to put their name and phone number in the notebooks and textbooks so if they get lost, somebody can call. I think that should apply to special books like this too. Just sayin'

Hi Millie! Oh your mom sounds like our mom - she writes all her stuff down too. But boy your mom is smart to keep it all in one place - our mom writes it wherever she can then forgets where she wrote it til later. We are so glad that she got the notebook back - we hope there was nothing to embarassing in it - our mom would probably have that happen to her and it would have some embarassing thing in it!

Ours had magnets on the back and sticks to the fridge. Mom loses it continually if it's not stuck on there. Bless her forgetful heart.

It is good that your Mom got her book back! You look like you were worried about it!

Our Mommy is quite forgetful so she tends to lose things herself. We're glad to hear that your mom got her notebook back. The new one is pretty neat too.

The least she could have done was bought a new one with a cat on it! That means she STILL needs to go out and buy another backup!

Mom had put her name in it, but not her phone number. As soon as she got it back, she put her phone number!

Losing that would have bugged our mom like crazy. That Laurel Birch one was neat. Mom inherited a cool LB tote bag from her sister...way spiffy!
Her new notebook is pretty, especially with the bookmark and magnet. But its good to have the old friend back.

I'm with Sparkle: you mom has just gotta have a cat book. Pretty well everything that's important in her life revolves around you, so it just makes sense that she would write things down in a proper cat book.

Good that she found it. Mum is OCD with making sure stuff gets put back in her purse.
