Thinking Thursday

Brutus, Momsbusy woofies, you guys did not win the When When Contest, as there is still snow on the ground outside. The snow is melting fast. Mom says it might rain today.

I'm thinking that if the When When Contest ends tomorrow, then Mom's got to buy a LOT of evil little chocolates!

Heh.

Almost Wordless Wednesday

Lucy, Boo, I am sorry. There is still snow on the ground. You will not win the When When Contest.

Tuesday, March 29, 2011

Tuxie Tuesday

Samantha, Smokey, Ducky, I am sorry, but there is still snow on the ground outside. You will not will the When When Contest.Mom is still learning how to use her new camera. She can't figure out how to get it to take pictures without flashing lights. I hope she figures it out soon, or nobody is ever going to see a picture of me with my eyes open ever again!
(And yes, she knows there is a setting to turn off the flash... but she hasn't figured out how to use it yet!)

Dirty Monday

Dear Meezers, you are among my oldest and best friends. I am sorry to tell you the snow is still here, and you did not win the When When Contest. The weather here has been colder than normal.
Mom has been playing in dirt. Which is fine with me, as long as she leaves my heated cat cup alone. She has been threatening to put the cover in the washing machine to take off my furs.

Silly Sunday

The weather here has been a bit colder than usual for this time of month, and the snow is still hanging around. I am sorry, Tia, but you are not the winner of the WhenWhen Contest.Mom's working on finishing a quilt, and you know what happens then, don't you? The house gets REALLY MESSY! There are dirty dishes in the kitchen, unfolded laundry on the couch in the living room, stuff all over the dining room table, and the floors and rugs need to be sucked.

Mom ignores it all, and just works in the sewing room.
She's finally learning what it's like to be a cat! (But don't tell her I said so!)

Saturday Caturday

Mom is really crazy. She went out this morning without even having breakfast. She fed the metal masheen, gave it a bath, bought some dirt, then did a little food hunting at a place called Panera Bread.
When she got home she and Mr Karate (who stayed over last night) had breakfast, then he left. There is still snow outside, so Sweet Praline, I am sorry, but you did not win the When When Contest.
Mom's gonna sew and do the washing mashine shuffle today. I am continuing my efforts to cover her quilts with my furs.

Finally Friday!

It has been very weird here lately. Yesterday, we had this. Yes, it's snow. Lucky for us, none of it stuck to the ground, and this is what it looks like outside our house this morning.
Ayla and Dorf, you are not the winners of the When When contest.Mom thinks I am waiting and watching the snow melt. She is wrong. I am watching the birds.

Thinking Thursday

I'm thinking I am very tired of snow. Meerkat, I'm pretty sure that when the sun comes up, there's gonna still be snow on the ground.Bummer.

Wordless Wednesday

(Psst... Marley, Knotted Fingers... there is still snow on the ground. No When When winners today.)

Happy Anniversary Mim-may & Pip-pay!

Happy Anniversary to Mim-May and Pip-pay! They are two of my most favoritest human beans in the whole world, and have been married... uh, um... twenny... twenny-two... ah... twenny-three years? A long time.
Clementine, you are not a lucky cat. It snowed here yesterday! You did not win the When When Contest.

Spring Is Sprung!

There's a funny little poem that starts like this: "Spring is sprung, the grass is ris, I wonder where the flowers is..."Well, I don't see any green grass outside, and the flowers are still in the ground here in New Hampster, because we still have some SNOW outside. Sorry Madness, sorry Mac, you guys didn't win the When When Contest. What I think is really nice is the sun is out longer each day. Because you know, napping in the sun is the best.

Easy Like Sunday Morning

Dear AF Socks Scylla, I can see snow on the ground outside. You have not won the When When contest. Mom says the only places you see snow is where it was piled up. The snow is going fast. I think we will have a winner soon.I have been helping Mom do her weekend chores.
Really.

Saturday Caturday

I have been working hard covering all these quilts with my furs. I am happy to report it is working, but I have a lot more work to do.
Yesterday was very warm for this time of year. It was 62F (16.6C) when Mom came home from her day-hunting gig. A lot of snow melted. Lookit this! We could have a winner next week!

Formerly Feral Friday

Mama Cat & the Furry Purries, I am sorry, but there is still snow on the ground. You have not won the When When Contest. I'm inspecting the quilt Mom brought home. It's good, but it needs a bit of my furs to make it perfect. I can see have some work to do. Fortunately it is work I can do while napping.Life is tough, but somecat has to do it!

Happy St Patrick's Day

Happy St Patrick's Day everybody! Tamir and Annie, I see snow outside, so neither of you has won the When When Contest.

Mom's wicked excited today because she's gonna be getting another quilt from her buddy Julie. Julie took Mom's leftover bits and made two quilts. The first one arrived last week, and the second will be here today.Me, I'm just doing my thing.

Not Quite Wordless Wednesday

I can see snow outside, so Camille, you have not won the When When Contest. The weather guys say it is supposed to be rainy today. (That white stuff on the ground is what you think it is, but Mom says it won't last long.)
Mom says the con-sultans really liked her Brownies, and asked to take the extras with them. She said the meeting went well and the sultans really want to make the big kahuna happy. Mom says it's going to be a lot of werk, but that it should be fun. I did not know werk and fun went together, but I guess that's because I'm a cat.

Good thing.

Day After Pi Day

Sylvester, Maverick, there is still snow on the ground outside, so you did not win the When When Contest.Mom can't believe she forgot that yesterday was Pi Day. You know, 3.14? The Furry Bambinos reminded us. Sorry guys! I have made Mom mark it on the calendar so we will not forget next year.

Mom's got a big meeting at her day hunting gig today with the big kahuna and some con-sultans. Mom was busy last night making her famous Brownies. Apparently these sultans need the carrot-and-stick approach. I do not understand what she means by that, but she didn't take any pictures of Moi.

Oh well.

Monday, Monday

It's dark out! If this is somebody's idea of saving daylight, I think they need to have their head examined. I, with my super cat eyes, can tell there is still snow on the ground. Panda Bear, you will have to believe me until it gets light enough for Mom to take a picture, but you did not win the When When Contest.
(ok, Mom says the sun will be hiding behind the clouds today.)

It was a busy weekend for Mom. She went food hunting, and other stuff hunting. She brought back new sheets and put them on the bed -before- we could play the make-the-bed game. Mom claims she does not want the new sheets to have holes in them just yet. I do not know what she is talking about.

Mom also cleaned the pots and pans in the kitchen and did the washing machine shuffle. AND she put all the clean laundry away. Then she spent the rest of her time in the sewing room working on a quilt.

Me? I didn't help. I just watched. That's my job. I'm a CAT, after all.

For those of you who guessed the snow would be gone in April, and think they have NO chance at winning the When When Contest, I present you an alternative.

This is the big pile of snow in the back yard. Whenever we had a snowstorm the snowplow guy piled all the snow in this part of the yard. Last week, we couldn't see the back fence. The snowbank is at least as tall as the metal masheens and will take a long time to melt.

Easy Like Sunday Morning

Meeko, a lot of snow has melted, but there is still a lot of snow on the ground, so you did not win the When When Contest.
There are birds flying around outside.
I am watching. I am waiting.

I am ready.

Sending Purrs to Japan

The snow is melting! There snowbanks on the sidewalk across the street are gone. That's the good news.

I am sending purrs and positive vibes to Japan and all the other countries who have been affected by the earthquake and tsunami. Here is a link to how we can help.

My friend Mickey has gone to the Bridge. I'm sending purrs to his fambly too.

(Bad news sucks.)

Formerly Feral Friday

It's raining out, and the snow is melting. Compared to last Friday, a lot of the snow has melted. How much longer will the snow last? When, when will it be melted away?
That's the question, and nobody knows the answer. We'll all just have to wait and see.
Me? I'll be watching from the bed. I like this quilt.

Thursday, March 10, 2011

Thursday Thought

This is Mom's new quilt. She made the letters, flowers, hearts and other stuff; her friend Julie put them together and their friend Chris quilted it.It is very important I check out every aspect of this quilt.

As you can see.Outside there is still a lot of snow on the ground.

Amost Wordless Wednesday

Cookie and Clifford, there is still snow on the ground.I am sorry, neither of you has won the When When contest.

Tuesday, March 08, 2011

Tuxie Tuesday

The snow is melting, but slowly, and that's a good thing because even though we want it to go away, if it melts while the ground is still frozen, some areas can get flooding. Sometimes Mom needs me to nap nearby. So I indulge her from time to time.

Monday, March 07, 2011

Millie Monday

It rained yesterday, and the rain melted a lot of the snow! It may rain again today, but the temperatures are supposed to be a lot warmer this week. Mom says the When When Contest is really heating up! (She loves a good pun!)

I played the make-the-bed game with her yesterday. It is much more fun than watching snow melt.

Sunday, March 06, 2011

Grey

Lookit how much snow melted since yesterday! March is Mom's least favorite month because we have so many grey days like this one.

Saturday, March 05, 2011

Soaking Saturday

I am sorry, Cubby and Reno, but there is still snow on the ground. You did not win the When When Contest.

The weather report says the temperatures are supposed to be above freezing for the next five or six days, and we are supposed to get a lot of rain tomorrow. The snow will melt! The question is, how much, and how fast?

Mom's got a lot of things to do today, and she is very much looking forward to having a piece of this cake.

Me? I'll take Beef Stinky Goodness and Temptations, thank you.
