Finally Friday (and a little Freaky!)

Mom got her swap quilt from Helen, in Oz. Naturally, I had to inspect it first. It came rolled up in a tube with all kinds of cool stamps. Now she is waiting on tenterhooks for Helen to receive the quilt she made. I can't wait for the stuff around here to stop moving. It's a little crazy. I like to watch what's going on, not hide under the bed. Mom says "almost finished, Millie" but then she moves something else. Every night another move. Nothing's moving today, though. Mom is hunting the ever-elusive Month End and that means she won't be home until very late.

Ayla and Iza and TBT suggested in yesterday's comments that bloggers leave instructions about the computer and their passwords in a secure spot if "the awful awful" happens. Mom has that taken care of already. She did it for the day hunting gig and says it took her a week and a half and ten pages.

Now that freaks me out!

Thursday Thoughts

Mom went to a wake yesterday. A lady co-worker died of cancer. The lady got sick last Turkey Day, and died on Sunday. She was younger than Mom, and had two children of her own. Mom says she was a nice lady, always smiling.

Mom says something like this is a big wake-up call to everybody to keep your "I love you's" up to date and to realize there's a lot of stuff that just isn't worth getting all upset about. Life's too short as it is.

Hear hear! Love, hugs and purrs all around!

Tuxie Tuesday

I was in the Cat Cup when Mom got home from day hunting yesterday, but by the time she got back with her little flashy camera, I had hopped out!

Heh!
Lots of junk moved around last night, and I hear there will be all kinds of noise tonight, so I'm camping out under the bed. Anybody who wants to join me and keep me company, you are quite welcome!

Millie Monday

I think Mom was feeling especially contrite this weekend, since she threw my daily routine out of whack. So this morning as she was making her lunch, she gave me some real live dead roast beast. It was yummy! You can't see it here, because I ate it up before she could take a picture.

Heh.

All Hell Breaks Loose Sunday

Mom did it. She moved all kinds of stuff all around. My favorite cushy napping spots on the treadmill is now in the extra room. The rug sucking monster was out all day and everything is all messed up. Mom's not even finished!

(Now Millie, your food dishes haven't moved at all, and your litter boxes, and cat hammocks are exactly where they have always been... It wasn't that bad.)

Yeah, yeah, yeah... That's what you think! I hid under the bed most of the day.

Silly Saturday

Alright, already! Here's the picture everybody has been waiting for! Mom's moving stuff around again. The "office" is gonna be the "sewing studio" and the "sewing room is gonna be the "office." Except the computer isn't moving.

Go figure.

Me? I've found a nice, soft, warm, comfy napping spot well out of her way.

Helping Thursday

To all of you who think I simply watch my Mom make quilts when she puts the pieces on the floor, this is for you.Heck no! I get right down and help her. I really helped her with the quilt that is now flying to Helen in Oz, but I can't show you yet.

I am not the only cat to play what Mom calls The Slip-and-Slide Game. Here is my friend Nosey Parker playing along at her house.

Tuxie Tuesday

Mom puts all her quilty stuff on the floor when she's playing with it. It's very interesting to watch.

Millie Monday

Mom is wicked excited about this box. It's on its way to a town called Kununurra in Western Australia. Mom and Helen are swapping quilts. In this box is the quilt Mom made for Helen. I can't show you what's in it until Helen gets it. I -can- tell you that Mom worked on it every free moment for two whole weeks since we got back from Mary-land. She's real happy with it.

The quilt Helen is making for Mom is flying to New Hampster today too. The plan is they will arrive about the same time.

I have a funny feeling that in about 6 to 10 days we're gonna hear a whole lot of squee-ing.

Silly Sunday

Mom lost her food hunting list today. She had it all made out. She folded it and stuck it into her pants pocket. When she was ready to go food hunting, she couldn't find it. She looked everywhere.

Twice.

Three times.

Finally she figured she'd just have to wait and go after she made another list. So she worked in the sewing room and the kitchen. After dinner she went to use the human litter box.

Guess what she saw when she opened the lid?

Yeah.

And yeah! Eew!

Once again I have to tell you how glad I am to be a cat.

Hide & Seek

Mom is looking for her hairbrush. Not her good one, the plastic spiky one she uses when she gets out of the rainbox in the morning. Usually she keeps it on the same shelf in the human litterbox room cabinet. But it isn't there.

I may (or may not) have had anything to do with it.

I'm not telling.

Finally Friday!

It's finally Friday, but this is a little bit ridiculous. It's sn--, sn--... I can't bring myself to say it.

It's SNOT!

Yeah, that's what it is. (You have to check the link and read the comment by the Meezers to get the joke!)

The Cat Cup

Yes, it's the Heated Cat Cup that Mom bought for me about three years ago that I never liked.

Yes, it's the same one Missy the Woofie likes.

Yes, it's the one she put bread in.

Yes, I get in it.

Yes, Mom finds me in it when she gets home from her day hunting gig.

Yes, she finally put the heating pad back in it so now I like it a lot more.

Yes, I am entitled to change my mind... and

No, I won't let her get a decent picture of me in it.

Millie Monday

Lookit this Cat Grass! It's totally pawsome. I have a snack every day, but I have to tell you, it's a lot for just one girlkitty. (And no, I don't barf it up if I eat it.)

Mom is finally done with the sewing project she has been working on since we got back from our trip. It's all she's been working on, and she didn't even do any housecleaning! So now the house is a mess, and she is cleaning it up.

Yeah, I can't tell you how glad I am to be a cat!

Green Green Grass

Mom planted it a week ago, and already my Cat Grass Garden is ready to eat.So I ate.

Yum!

Formerly Feral Friday

When Mom pulls out her camera, I close my eyes a bit, and sometimes open only one eye, so I don't get blinded by the flashy thing. That's why it looked like I was a little bit out of it on Wednesday. Not because I was nipped out.

My Own Farm

Wow! My own private garden of cat grass is growing already!

Pawsome! I can't wait to taste it!

Tuxie Tummy Tuesday

Thank you so much for all the lovely birthday wishes! Mom says four years ago she had no idea her life was about to change so dramatically!

My Birthday!

Today is my birthday! I am four!Do you know what my Mom got me for my birthday?

She got me a pot with dirt in it. Sure, the pot had paw prints on it, but still... Then I saw the top of the package... It's a Cat Garden!
Cats don't grow in dirt, but Cat Grass does! My own little indoor garden! Woot! Cat Grass, 'Nip, Beef Stinky Goodness, pets and scritches from Mom, a wonderful family, a terrific BoyfriendCat, awesome friends... what more could a girlcat ask for?

Happy Easter!

It was a beautiful day yesterday, the sky was blue, the sun was shining, and it was very warm. Mom had windows open all over the house, and she kept some open all night. As you can see, I was very interested in the smells from outside.

Happy Easter everybody!

Viral Video of New Hampster!

Lookit this! Some guy made a video about New Hampster! It's viral! (Mom says it's a parody.) It's fun! (OK, she got home really late last night and this was the best she could do on short notice. But it's fun!)

(you gotta click ON the video to get taken to YouTube to see the whole screen. What can I say? Mom's a bit tired...)

April Fooled Friday!

If you are a regular reader of my blog, you know several things...
  1. I hate fish.
  2. I don't eat tuna.
  3. I've never sat in Mom's lap.
  4. Mom never trims my claws, because I don't let her.
  5. Tucker ain't going nowhere, and he sure isn't coming here!
  6. Mom's a geek, and geeks LOVE April Fool's.
So the question is.... Did you get fooled yesterday?

Auntie Karate was fooled! She read my blog and was so amazed to read that Tucker was coming to live in New Hampster that she called Mom. She couldn't even remember the telephone number at Mom's day hunting gig, so she called Mom's cell phone. When Mom answered, Auntie asked, "You're getting a DOG?"

Mom said, "Honey, what day is it today?"

I -Love- my Mom!

Noo Day Thoorsday!

My trip to Mary-land exposed me to new things. Like fish. See... Tonight, after Mom comes home from her day-hunting gig, we're both gonna have toona for dinner. She's gonna add some stupid pasta to her toona, but I'm gonna eat mine plain.

After that, I'm gonna sit right in her lap while she watches her favorite TV show. I need my claws trimmed, so she's gonna take care of that too.

But that's not even the best noos. This guy loves Mom and me so much, he's gonna come live with us!

I am -so- excited.
