What's Up Wednesday

I keep telling you Beans are weird. Wait until you hear this story...

The hallway is EMPTY! Mom moved the big table in the table room to one side of the room. She brings in four funny boxes. She calls them COOLERS! There is NOTHING cool about them, I tell you! They smell very unusual, to say the least.
It's the hottest day of the year, and what does my Mom do when she gets home from day hunting last night? She takes all the magnets, and pictures and notes, and coupons OFF the coldbox! All the pictures of Mr Karate, and PlusOne, and Mooshie! GONE!

Then she opens the cold box and starts throwing stuff away!

I am not kidding! She's got the door wide open and there's stuff coming out... old onions, dried up lettuce, moldy cream cheese (dunno what that is, and I don't care).
Then she moves to the freezer, and starts emptying the ice cube trays. She puts the ice in zipper plastic bags and then empties out the dried bread, piling up the bags of six million different kinds of nuts, stacking up the bags of frozen fruit and vegies.

"It's gotta go, Millie, I can't eat it, so it's gotta go.."

Go? Why would any bean, even a crazy bean throw away good foods? Mom, that's your FOODS in there... Are you gonna STARVE to death? (O, the horror... what will happen to ....me?)

The ice cream, the frozen popsicles, the sor-bay (dunno what that is either), all going.

Why does it have to go?

The cold box is going away.

Excuse me? I said to Mom. Going where?

"Away. They're coming to take it away this morning. And a new cold box will be coming to take it's place."

Mom has to take everything out, put it someplace so it doesn't go bad...

(Now, dunno about you, I know there is
good food and not so good food, but good food going bad? That just sounds... wrong.)

...and then put it in the NEW cold box when it gets here.

On a day when it's so hot I'm practically melting, and I haven't even had breakfast!

Do you think maybe the lord of land is silly enough to want to bring Mom a NEW coldbox on the hottest day of the year?

Well, I guess.

I told you beans were weird.

I think I need a nap... in the air-colditioned bedroom.

Strange indeed, Millie. We await further reports!

And did you get breakfast?

That is weird! A new cold box will be better, though!

Maybe a new cold box will keep the food fresh longer, and perhaps store more food too! Good luck, hope it arrives in a timely fashion!

It all sounds quite peculiar to me, Millie. Please keep us updated on developments. I think that - in spite of the heat - a few extra cuddles for your Mom mightn't go astray. Seems like she needs it.

I hope that you got to have breakfast - tell your mom that it's the most important meal of the day! Personally, I think that all meals and snacks are Very Important! Did you get your new cold box yet?

Purrrrrrrrrrrrrs, Willow

Oh switching cold boxes sounds like such a hassle! It does probably mean there is a lot of extra yummy food to snack on though - that is a plus at least!

Gosh, is there any tuna or shrimp or steak that needs eating up right away? Maybe you could help?

Remember Millie, if the human is happy then the human does better work for you... and the chill chest is going to help make her happier.

Hope your new cold box arrived and is getting everything chilled. Mum would have eaten her box down as best she could, but yeah, now and then you have to toss stuff. As long the kittie goodies don't get tossed.
