More Rain

It's gonna rain some more today. Mom's says she still has a few fires to put out at her day hunting gig. Dunno how anything can burn when it's all wet, but Mom says otherwise and although she's only a bean, I'm going to humor her.

Mr Karate came over for dinner last night, but his voice wasn't with him. He had the crud that Mom is trying to get rid of. They had dinner, he played his cello, and then Mom went into the sewing room and did her usual thing of cutting big pieces of fabric into little pieces of fabric and then sewing them back up together into big pieces of fabric again.

I'm telling you, she's crazy! I intend to do the only sensible thing one can do on a yukky rainy day like this. I'm going to take a nap on the big stack of pillows in the computer room.

I'm so glad I'm a cat.

Rainy Days and Mondays

It's gonna rain and rain hard today. Yuk. Mom's vacation is over and she's going back to her day-hunting gig. She still has the cold the little sticky beans gave her.

I'm gonna stay home and find a nice soft place to nap.

I'm so glad I'm a cat!

Easy Like Sunday Morning

One of us is taking it Easy this Sunday morning, and the other one is in the sewing room cutting big pieces of fabric into small pieces and then sewing them together into big pieces again.

I'll leave it to you to figure out which is which.

Sunny Saturday

We're home, safe and sound. Mom says there's no place like your own bed. Your own window's pretty good too.

As you can see the unpacking has already started. Mom's got to do a little food hunting today, run a few errands and restock my stash of stinky goodness.

Family Friday

These are my little sticky beans, SweetBean, KidBean and Mooshie. And here they are with Mom. Do you know how hard it is to get little sticky beans to smile at the same time? (Really really hard.)

Mom and I love out Mary-land fambly, but we are on our way home today. We have had a great visit.

Mooshie

Although I am keeping my distance from this little guy, Mom still thinks he is the cutest little sticky bean on the planet.

And from a distance, I can agree with that!

Lotta Lovin' Goin' On!

Mom and I are having a great visit here in Mary-land. I am hanging out with Monty (I love Mooshie, but I'm keeping my distance now.) Mom has cooked dinner for the beans, made cookies and is making a dress for SweetBean. It doesn't sound like a vacation to me, but she's happy. The sticky beans even gave her a cold, but she says she's having a great time.

She holds Mooshie, and he giggles, and KidBean and SweetBean give her goodnight kisses every night.

It's all good here!

Millie and Mooshie

Mooshie is a cute little guy, and I know he likes me.well, I think he likes me, but....um, Mooshie, this isn't what I had in mind...
...ouch!...
this isn't fun any more...OK, I'm not gonna do this again.

Anybody know a good kitty chiropractor?

Devon Got Dunked

Devon was baptised yesterday. Mom was godmother. Don't let this picture fool you. He did NOT like it, and cried, and cried. After he wore himself out screaming, he fell asleep. This is Mooshie, Mom and MomBean. It was a Very Good Day.

You can see the quilt Mom made for Mooshie here, on her quilting blog.

Scritches Saturday

Monty likes getting scritches from Mom.

Hello From Mary-land!

Mom and I missed the bus to Beantown yesterday morning. We got a ride to another city and took another bus from there. Mom was pretty freaked out about the whole thing. Once we got on the train though, everything was fine. I was a very good cat on the train!I saw many very interesting things on the train ride. I saw Bagpipers, I saw a guy on a windsail, I saw a parking lot full of boats, and I saw this in Connect-i-cat, across the train tracks from the ocean. It looked interesting, but I was pretty sure I would feel better when I got to Monty's house. At Monty's house, I met Tucker. I think he likes me. I think he likes Everybody.
Monty and I are so happy to be together again!
Of course, this is what we really came for!

On The Road Again

We're finally on our way. By the time you read this, we will be On The Road to Monty's.

I am so excited! Mom is excited too!

Tuxie Tuesday

After consulting the weather reports for Mary-land, Mom has slightly repacked her suitcase. She says if it isn't in the suitcase it isn't coming! All right! All right! All right! I get it. I get the picture...Happy now, Mom?

Millie Monday

Mom cleaned the Sewing Room today. She dragged the rug-sucking monster around. She washed dishes and did the washing machine shuffle. She even cleaned my cat hammick! The whole house is clean, and she's squee-ing something awful. She keeps repeating over and over, "I'm ready! I'm ready! I'm ready!"

I've been ready for days, dunno why she needed to get all crazy about it.

(Oh, and she had to get a bigger suitcase.)

Not So Easy on Sunday Morning

Only a few days until our big trip to Mary-land. I'm ready.

Here's all the stuff Mom wants to stuff into her suitcase to bring to Mary-land. Think it'll all fit?Me neither.

Bird Watching

I'm a bird watcher. Can you see the bird in this picture?

Finally Friday

While I was posing for pictures this morning, we both got distracted.

I was looking at the birdies outside (in their reflection in the mirror) and Mom was looking... well at this:
There's NO SNOW out there!

And the best part is... FIVE MORE DAYS until our trip to Mary-land. Mom says Mr Karate will be staying here to watch over me. Well, I got news for her! I'm going with her!

Heh.

It's When!

As you probably already know if you have been playing along, Rusty won the When When Contest!

He's a pretty lucky guy! He won a Gizzy Quilt in a contest last summer, and Mom was feeling creative, so she made this one for him:Apparently Rusty's nickname is Houdini, because every time his mom turns around, he's someplace different. Which is why there are so many Rustys in his quilt. He lives in Catifornia, but Mom made a house that looks like it belongs here in New Hampster. The red fabric, which is meant to look like bricks, is actually rulers, which is fun because Rusty's mom Deborah, is a second grade teacher.

So a prize package containing some treats for Rusty, and some Evil Little Chocolates for Deborah will be delivered by the guy in the bloo shorts sometime soon! Concatulations Rusty and Deborah!

Tuxie Tuesday

Can you tell I'm eager to go to Mary-land? (Megan, my bag is the pretty flowered one.)

Monday, March 08, 2010

Millie Monday

Yesterday Mom cleaned the living room, the kitchen, and the office. She cleaned off the big table in the dining room. She ate cake and watched some guy named Oscar. While she did that, I did this:She called me "Sun Drunk!"

Can you imagine?

Spiffy Sunday

Mom cleaned up her own room yesterday, did the laundry and went food and fabric hunting. She had a nice long chat with MomBean, and she watched Project Runway and sewed on the quilt with the fox.

The rest of the house is what she calls a flying disaster.

This afternoon there's birthday cake for PlusOne, and tonight dinner at Mim-may's with some guy named Oscar.

I guess she won't be doing much cleaning today either.

Surprise Saturday

No, I do not know why Mom came home with two dozen pink roses last night. She says she didn't give any green papers for them.

She did come home late, though. She spent green papers on unmentionables, socks, pants and a new water bottle.

She says she's gonna clean the house today, and even drag the rug-sucking monster around.

Right. Sure. Ah-hunh.

Friday, March 05, 2010

Finally Friday

Can you find me? I'm in my usual spot in the cat hammock by the window. As you can see, Mom's sewing studio is a real mess. She's got a fox and a dog camped out on the living room floor and there's stuff everywhere. Mom really has to clean the house before our big trip to Mary-land.

She's been pretty lax about helping me blog, too. I haven't even been able to visit my friends. I can see I'm going to have to show her who's boss.

Crunchy Thursday

You all know how I like to keep my Mom on her toes. Well, yesterday she filled my bowl with a can of my favorite stinky goodness (beef!), but I just looked at it, then back at her.

So she filled up a bowl full of nice fresh Crunchies!

I dove right in!

Heh!

Happy Birthday PlusOne!

Today is PlusOne's birthday. He is 13 years old today. Mom loves this picture of him, taken when he was 6. What a cute kid! Go on over to Roxy's and wish him a Happy Birthday.

And tell Auntie Karate to stop crying!

Tuxie Tuesday

Mom's recuperated from her icky day on Sunday. Mr Karate took her out to dinner last night, and she came home all giggly.

Guess that means she had a great time. You can read about it on her quilting blog.

Me?

Um, I'm busy right now...

Mom's Monday

Mom was feeling icky yesterday. She never got dressed, and didn't do much of anything all day. She lay on the couch and watched the Olympics. I lay next to her for a little while from time to time throughout the day to get some scritches and give her some purrs, but we didn't do much else. The little flashy box never came out either, so no pictures. I gotta keep her healthy for our big trip later this month.
