Monday Quilts

You all know Mom is making a quilt for Monty's new BabyBean (code name: Aiko) that is coming in September. You know that she made quilts for KidBean and SweetBean. She thought for Aiko's quilt she would get KidBean and SweetBean to help. She drew a bunch of houses and asked the kids to color them and send them back to us.

Over the weekend, Mom translated two of the drawing into fabric houses. Here they are, along with the inspiration drawings.

This one is by KidBean. And this one was inspired by a drawing by SweetBean.
You can see more of the houses Mom has made for the Aiko over on her quilting blog.

Me?

I'm still napping in the laundry Mom is (still) folding.

They are both really neat houses. We like the one kidbean did with the kitty in the window.

These are both great - and what a good idea to use the drawings for inspiration!

Oh those are pretty houses! And of course you are napping in the laundry your mom is trying to fold - isn't that a cats job?

my mom told your mom those are really neat looking houses...

My mom keeps the laundry that isn't folded in a tall thing that I can't get into...

Those quilt houses are fun.

Did your mum see the epic match between Andy Murray and Stan Wawrinka tonight? It was the first men's match played under the new Centre Court roof with lights and didn't finish until 10.40 pm!

Our momma is all drooling and jealous because she doesn't have the skill to darn an old sock and wishes she could make a quit!

What a really neat idea to make quilt squares base on Kidbean's and Sweetbean's drawings! I love the results. Napping on the laundry is just part of your job, Millie.

What a lovely thing to do - to include kidbean and sweebean's drawings in the planning stage. It will be a lovely quilt made with such love.

Such a neat idea to include Aiko's siblings in creating the quilt.

That's the coolest idea, Millie's Mom! All the houses need are a tree and a tire swing and maybe a playhouse and a fort with a ladder up the tree and stuff like that!

Millie, if the laundry gets cool, just have your mom pop it back into the dryer to warm it up for ya. Tell I said so!

How very nice. We know it'll be perfect once it's finished!
