The Holidays are Over

Mom took down the Christymas tree and all the Holiday decorations yesterday. That tree looks very funny. I tried to climb it, but Mom was too slow with the little camera. Heh.

She even folded up my Holiday Gizzy Quilt and packed it away with the Christymas stuff! Eek!

Millie, come on! You have two other Gizzy Quilts! You have the pink one....And you have this new cat-themed one...Some multi-cat families have only -one- Gizzy quilt and they have to share. Your Holiday Quilt will be safe and sound, and you can enjoy it next Christymas.

Well... ok. I guess. Anyways, Mom said she had a good day on Sunday. She worked on some quilt stuff I can't talk about. I can't say anything about the colors, or if she finished, or where it might be going. But I hung out with her in the sewing room most of the day, and that was good.

One of the quilting blogs she found gave her a really cool idea for something I can't talk about either. Except that it involves two Gizzys. I mean the cat Gizzy (you know, my wonderful big brother who went to the bridge last year) AND a Gizzy Quilt. I don't get it either, but somehow I think we will -all- find out together.

Oh! One more thing: Mom updated the slideshow over at Bizzy for Gizzy. She rearranged all the pictures so the newest quilt is first, then the next newest, and on and on. Mom says they are sorted in Descending order, and this way you can see the newest quilts first without having to wait for a parade.

Parade? Quilts? I think she needs to get more sleep.

Our Christmas tree came down yesterday too, since it was the 12th Day of Christmas and the Feast of the Epiphany.

Both of your Gizzy quilts are beautiful, Millie. :) Our Holiday Gizzy isn't put away yet, since my mom is still hoping to get some good photos of us lying on it.

Once again because Mom's semester ran so late, we never got to put up a Christymas tree. I really wanted one this year too 'cause they look like they are fun to climb and hide in. She promised me that next year she'll put up one. Promises, promises.

Our stuff already went in the basement. And I never got to bite the tree, either.

Stop by when you can, I tagged you for a meme, sweetie!

All of our Christmas stuff is gone too. We really miss our tree skirt. We loved to sleep on it. Mommy says it will be out again in about 11 months but that is a really long time!!

Ha ha ha ha! Oh, Millie, you have two wonderful gizzies, and the holiday gizzy will be that much more special when it is unpacked next Christmas!

I can't wait to see what your mom is up to now, Millie!

Mom usually leaves our tree up until the Feast of the Epiphany on January 6th, but *someone* was using it as a litter box so she got rid of it on January 1st. I will not name names. You know who you are.

Sounds like you are having post Christmas blues. You miss your tree and holiday Gizzy quilt. Good thing you have 2 others.

And it looks like you and your mom are keeping lots of secrets. You are actually keeping them instead of wanting to blurt them out. We're proud of you.

Christmas has been put away here for about a week. Just two snow people still out on the TV.

Your Christmouse tree looked a whole lot like mine did on New Year's Day ... Even the stand is the same!

Happy "packin' the quilt" Day! We've got our purple/green Gizzy out an' Mom will put out our Patriotic Gizzy on Martin Luther King Day (an' keep it our through President's Day).
